so the new DreamWorks Wild Robot movie was really good, well animated/written, wholesome and definitely worth seeing
Good job DreamWorks, for every 3 or 4 bad movies you make, we get 1 or 2 really really good ones š
the wild robot
you know that feeling when you walk out of a cinema, not really sure who you are anymore?
yeah.
i just went to see DreamWorks' the wild robot on previews and i feel that way; the animation, the story, the voice actors, the vibes, the subtle social commentary regarding a.i. and climate change.. just... yghHHH so good.
I'd write up a review but I'm so blown away I can't put my thoughts into words (that, and I don't want to spoil it)
imo this is DreamWorks best film. ever.ā¦closely rivalled by Shrek, but not by much. i'd go as far to say this is the best original (not sequel) animated film I have since the original Inside Out released in 2015.
oh, my, gosh. 10/10. āāāāā
this one is going to fly at the 2025 Oscars - even up against Inside Out 2 I would not be surprised if it takes out best animated feature and/or best adapted screenplay... and has a shot at nominations for best picture, and best original score.. š¤
and will (hopefully) help boost DreamWorks to new heights
roll on the sequel (please, we're begging)
Got to watch this in theatres. Please go check it out while you still can.
The Wild Robot
me before seeing the newest Wild Robot trailer: I am probably going to cry, and thatās ok.
Wild Robot trailer: āIām not programmed to be a motherā
me:
Canāt wait to finally experience the wild robot in Cinema!
But in my country it will earn on October the 3th, so I have to wait a bit longer. I am so excited because everyone says this is the best DreamWorks movie ever made and also the box office counting had begun. Iāve heard itās a tragic dark story but with friendliness and love to it, that warms everyoneās hearts.
At the same time itās also very sad that this is the last in house DreamWorks movie that will be produced. The end of an Era, indeed. I am very sad because of this because DreamWorks was since I was a little girl my favorite studio. Hell they produced my favorite trilogies like httyd, KFP and Madagascar and many other phenomenal movies like puss in boots: the last wish, Rise of the Guardians, Spirit, Shrek, the prince of Egypt and many more. And really let me Love the medium of Animation.
I finally watched the wild robot and it was beautiful just like the httyd trilogy
This is definitely my favorite movie of the year. There is so much in it that reminds of the httyd trilogy and everything why I love it so much. Roz, Brightbill and Fink are an extraordinary family but they love each other so much itās heartwarming. But if I am honest Fink is the best fox character we ever got, heās fun, shows emotions and has his own character development and personality. Heās the best character in the entire movie. But I canāt forget about Brightbill and Rozs Mother-Son Releationship, which was really beautiful and meaningful just like Hiccup and Toothlessā Friendship, but it is still something different because Roz and Brightbill are mother and child to each other. Also Brightbill was as duckling just adorable. All the wild animals were also really entertaining but I think my favorite of them was Pinktail with her babys, whichās jokes were the funniest. Especially when one of them was predicted death. Also I really loved the art style, itās like Puss in Boots2 but expanded. In my opinion the wild robot, the httyd-trilogy and Puss in Boots the last wish are DreamWorks greatest movies. Seeing Toothless, Alex, Marty, Puss in Boots, Shrek, Donkey and Fiona again in the Intro was like meeting old friends.
Little spoiler: In the end it reminds me a bit of the httyd3 ending but it the end comes a bit random. Still good but not better than the ending to dreamworks greatest trilogy, which was made by the same guys.
something about how in the wild robot, the golden gate bridge is deep underwater. and yet whales are swimming in the bay above it. something about the idea that climate change has come and yet the world is still alive and thriving, that there was still time to make it better, to fix what we could, to make things right. the bridge is underwater but the whales are alive and back. our cities went underwater but instead of pretending as though nothing had happened we learned to change and care for the planet we had left, realized it was not too late. that there was hope. learned to farm better, preserve what we could. leave the natural world safe. that we didnāt have to be merely aggressors but learned to coexist on our planet. that it will still be okay. something about that man idk.
i am being dead serious when i say that i might've liked the wild robot just as much if not more than puss in boots: the last wish, and i do not say that lightly. in fact, this may very well be my favorite movie ever.
characters? fantastic. themes? beautiful. animation? even more so. dialogue? incredibly written. storyline? extraordinary. voice acting? unbelievable. never before have i seen a movie quite like the wild robot.
i don't usually like calling things perfect. basically everything in existence can be improved upon in some way. even then, i'd still go as far as to call this movie perfection. in a world where everything is soulless or a cheap cash grab, this is a star amongst the wreckage, and i will never forget it.
to the people who made this geode of a movie, thank you. thank you so very much.

But seriously yāall, part 2
I love this movie so much that I kidnapped my parents (both of which regularly make fun of and are often dissatisfied with my choices of animated media) and sat their little butts down and forced them to watched it.
Iām happy to report that my mom cried and my dad said it was cute.
If you needed another sign to watch this movie
