Game Concept - Tumblr Posts
So i have been back at my RWBY co-op only/asymmetric 4v1 moba idea again and here are a few elements
Starting cast would be at least 20 characters, Teams RWBY JNPR CVFY SNNN as well as Cinder/Penny/Ilia/Emerald
Items would be divided into 4 types each with it's own slot so offense items go in the offense slot mobility items go in the mobility slot ect, Items have multiple upgrades that you choose from at each tier with the final stats being decided based on all your choices, none of them have active effects instead having passives with ccooldowns,
Players have a deck of 30 cards for each character, at the start of each match they draw 5 and choose 3 to play, the remaning 2 are shuffled back in decks are renewed either when all the cards have been played(In other words every 10 matches) or at daily resets,
Cards can provide a variety of effects, from boosting your stats to improving your minion waves with stronger units like Spider Droids or Paladins,
You can edit a deck at any time, but it won't update until the current version is renewed(either by playing all matches or daily reset) when you gain new cards you also gain a free reset token that can reset one deck to ensure you can get it into play faster,
For Cosmetics You can unlock both Costumes and Skins, Costumes are defined as a model change so something like Ruby's Volume 1 outfit vs Her Volume 4-6 outfit are costumes, Skins are pallet swaps unique to each costume, example Weiss Atlas Gear/Yellow Beauty would be Weiss wearing her atlas Gear recolored in Yang's colors, you need to own a Costume to use Skins for it,
Cards/Cosmetics require tickets given out after matches, based on performance, once enough are gathered a roulette spins and gives you one cosmetic and one card, this way you aren't dividing your efforts between improving your wardrobe and your power,
Also if you get an item for a character you don't own you can choose to mulligan it and reroll, or keep it for when you can use it,
You can't buy Tickets or Cards with real money, but can buy individual costumes/skins,
By default team RWBY would be unlocked with a free rotation of 4 other characters available, if you own a character on free rotation you will get access to a costume/skin combo you don't own for the duration, if you own all characters on free rotation a random character you don't own will be made available, if you own all characters and costumes/skins then you get access to special otherwise unavailable skins for all the characters in free rotation
Characters can be unlocked by purchase with real world money, or by spending EXP on them, Free EXP is gained by playing characters you own, but you also gain EXP towards unlocking a Character by playing them during Free Rotation
The maps would have 3 lanes and a jungle, but only 4 players, it avoids the classic carry focused design instead trying to make sure the whole team feels important or at least able to get work done
Jungler's job is to collect buffs for their laners, and keep camps cleared as if they go to long without being cleared they will spawn extras who will head for the lanes, in addition to helping to gank enemies,
the AI/5th player lacks heroes instead having mini bosses like Beowolf Alphas and Beringels as it's rough equivalents, unlike in other Mobas killing these is actually important to focus on once in a while because otherwise you can end up with 2 or more in one lane,
The AI/possibly the 5th player can also activate a few different events to try and mix things up, this includes turning minions on the heroes, unleashing extra grimm into a lane ect, when pushed to the brink it can unleash a single desperation event, like summoning a Wyvern to attack a lane or the like,
My concept for the characters in a Metal Gear Rising: Revengenence style Demon Slayer game
Spoiler warning: I do reference certain thing in the manga.
TL;DR
Fire and derivatives: High damage
Thunder and derivatives: High movement
Water and derivative: High coverage (i.e, best hitboxes)
Wind and derivatives: High combos
Stone and derivatives: High defense
Tanjiro would be your standard character, pretty average but also being well rounded with some unique mechanics like a sun breathing mode that empowers your attacks but take a lot from a meter or something along those lines
Zenitsu would be very speed base focusing a quick one shot slices often by charging it, his moves are also great movement tools allowing you to cover a good distance in a very short time and if you press a certain button shortly after you can recover some of your charge for free, yet has a low health pool, using dodges and parries to look for openings
Inosuke would be much more of a brawler that can take a few hits, yet he would have a lot more end lag if you miss, yet they also do a lot of multi hits and lock the enemy in place, basically guaranteeing damage
Nezuko would more of a bezerker able to take a lot of hits and dish out like inosuke, but has to be conservative with it because if she over does it, she can be left in a very vulnerable state
Kanao would be very flowy, also having some very forgiving hurt boxes, but don't spam with this character because she has sweet spots that do a ton more damage when hit, dropping a combo can leave her very venerable.
Giyu would play a lot like Tanjiro but a lot more refined in certain ways, yet might not have options like Tanjiro's Sun Breathing mode, instead replacing it with a Deep Calm mode
Shinobu would be flowy like Kanao but have much more stabbing strikes and having a exponentially stacking poison mechanic, yet she would also have one of the lower health pools
Rengoku would fight like Tanjiro in his sun breathing mode but a lot more efficient but not as damaging, he would also be one of the tougher fighters, not the toughest but can take a few more hits
Tengen would focus on combos that rely heavily on good rhythm and use a lot of movement, dodges, and parries like Zenitsu, but like Kanao dropping a combo can leave him very vulnerable
Mitsuri would have very devastating hits, fighting similarly to Rengoku but with more sweet spot focus and longer range, the hurt boxes wouldn't be random, but they would defiantly be all over the pace.
Muichiro would be very floaty with his move providing lots of short movements, unlike Zenitsu's longer movements, he also has of multi hitting moves giving him one of the highest combo potential in the game
Obanai would be like Shinobu with more more follow up attacks and having little end lag, also similar to Muchiro a lot of his moves grant great short movement options
Senemi would fight like Inosuke but instead of having locked damage sequences he instead fights like a rabid spider monkey hoped up on cocaine trying to mimic a beyblade, has the highest combo potential
Genya would use his shotgun for damage initially that would be very damaging , with his short sword being less damaging, just barely more than Shinobu's strikes without her poison, acting more as a get off me tool, however any damage done will cause blood droplets to spew out of the demon, when he collects these droplets all of his attributes improve and unlocks other abilities and moves he can use, he basically plays as if it was DOOM in third person, he could even have a glorykill mechanic where if a demon is at low enough health he can go up to it to kill it in a short kill sequence, this also makes him collect more blood than just killing the demon out right, as well as automatically collect it
Gyomei would have the highest the highest health pool, for humans at least, he would also have super armor, this complements his slow but devastating attacks that will knock enemies hit onto their butts, however missing leaves him very venerable
And that's it for all the main human (and one and a half? demons) characters at least

Hey, i am currently experiencing 3am random thoughts so I’m going to dump on wir them here.
This does discuss some topics involving smoking, a mentioned surgery, an overworked mother and fear. If there is any other things in here that is triggering to any one please message me and let me know other than that please read if you are able to thank you and stay safe.
With the my current at home life things are a bit strange. My Dad ,with his recent leg surgery and not being able to come home for weeks, is currently staying up a my grandparents due to their home being more… spacious, i guess. That’s not important though but something that is import, especially context wise to the thought/ ideas I’ve had, is that my mom is the only on who works but she doesn’t only work a lot she is going through nursing school. So my point is my momma is a very tired women which goes with out saying she struggles to get any sleep so she sometimes struggles to get up when she does get some but my though come from this one night i had to wake her and it was a moment of my life i don’t think I can forget.
It was a Wednesday night, i had just got back with my grandmother from church. It was about thirty mins before my mom need to be awake so I just went out back and smoked a bit with my dad and grandmother. It wasn’t until about five or seven minutes before she needed be awake when dad said something about needing to wake her and I was like, “ Don’t worry about I’ll take care of it after I go in get me something to drink,” I still relatively a new smoker as in it still bothers my throat and lungs sometimes not important though. After getting my drink and maybe a snack i sat it done where I was sitting the living room and went to wake up mom.
From the time I have spent on the internet no one really talks about how terrifying it is to wake up your parents even at an older age. It make you feel like your doing something wrong and that’s how felt as slow approached her. At the time the only thing I remember feeling and seeing is fear. And it wasn’t like i fear for my life, it was more of a “ i don’t know what’s happening, i don’t want to fuck up i don’t know what I’m doing “ kind of fear. Due to that unknown and that fear I kinda hesitated before I even touched her or said anything. But I eventually just said whatever and woke her up. I went en gentle and just said quiet but loud enough she understood, “ hey its about a 8:30”.. cause that’s when she usually got up but um even with how gentle I was I still scared her. She jumped back real hard which not only scared her but scared me. And I think the thing that got me and what makes this a memory that will stick to me is that… fear in her eyes as she looked at me. Seeing the kinda fear in her eyes that I saw… i got to admit it hurt like hell. I never would have though that wake my own mother would led me to experience something I never want it experience again.
But that is just along winded telling of the idea I had after this experience i guess. It had me think of what remains of Edith finch, A glorious game with a fantastic but intriguing story. I want take different story’s of my childhood and my siblings and cousins, aunt, uncles etc. and turn them into a game similar to that game. Do you know what i mean, like take the way the story of Edith finch and how it was told but turn it into one about my family, u know?
Idk this just one long rant/ talk about a potential game i could work on i guess. Idk. If anyone sees this and has any thoughts of their own they would like to add just reblog with them or send them in to me anyway you can I guess. Idk i just wanted this off my mind and in a write form.

First of all, mad props to Sayada! This was such a fun, well thought out game/concept that I truly enjoyed working on.

Being me, I jumped at the opportunity to create some character cards: the Critic (Mandy) and Chef (Lyn). In addition to creating these portraits I loved getting to come up with the little side stories and stats for each, it really nailed down the designs for me. P.S. Game devs, get at Sayada! We need to make this concept a reality! ;D

I want to start out this post saying I LOVE farming games, so as a result of that you assume I’ve played Harvest Moon/Story of Seasons growing up, and you’d be right! Another thing I love is biology and speculative biology/evolution/zoology etc… basically I love and am fascinated by the natural world and its history.
That being said with the boom of farming games and just cozy games in general, I’ve become to be inspired to try and make a farming game myself but with a twist. It would be similar to old harvest moon games like 64/ Magical Melody but set in an alien world, where you play as a sophont alien being raising a farm (idk if livestock will be included but will think more on it) and I would like to have some supernatural/magical elements to it too. Just so it’s not just a farm game where you’re an alien from another world than a human :V
I have a lot of ideas for this concept but not the tools to do much with it atm. It’s still very much in its infancy so this is all I have to say right now .3.
