(CW: Vent, Talking about plastic pollution)

-

-

Something I think is tied to my therianthropy is a deep distaste for synthetic material that isn't biodegradable.

I hate the feeling of plastic, and loathe collecting plastic unless it's super cool (like dragon figurines). I always hated plastic but everything I'm into requires plastic. Digital art? Plastic pen and tablet. Dnd? plastic dice or resin cause metal and glass are super expensive. Furry Fandom? All suits are made with so much plastic it makes me sick to think about from an environmental standpoint.

Some days I just want to run away from plastic blankets and chemical scents and live in the outdoors. Moss as my bedding and pine needles as my mattress. A rock as my dinner plate and dirt on my paws. But I know I'm too soft to run away. I'll never physically be built for that. I try so hard to be environmentally friendly. But it's impossible to be plastic free with my hobbies.

I can never get rid of my plastic den, no matter how much I want it to be made out of stone.

Maybe somebody else feels this way?

Every culture has its own traditions surrounding the birth of a child. While we celebrate newborn girls by sending pink dresses and dolls, in Piplantri village in Rajasthan, India, they celebrate by planting 111 trees.

Please, We Need Your Help. The Willow Project Is A Project Being Viewed By The President In This Moment,

Please, We Need Your Help. The Willow Project Is A Project Being Viewed By The President In This Moment,

Please, we need your help. The willow project is a project being viewed by the President in this moment, the plan is to sell ALASKA and its land, homes, and WILDLIFE for oil drilling. The project will produce up to 180,000 barrels of oil a day, according to the company — about 1.5% of total U.S. oil production. But in Alaska, Willow represents the biggest oil field in decades. What’s the problem with that? Project opponents point to its potential impact on global climate change. Environmental impact documents conclude that if the oil produced by Willow is burned, it would create 260 million metric tons of carbon dioxide. Exposure to CO2 can produce a variety of health effects. These may include headaches, dizziness, restlessness, a tingling or pins or needles feeling, difficulty breathing, sweating, tiredness, increased heart rate, elevated blood pressure, coma, asphyxia, various cancers, and convulsions. Once the plan is approved, climate change will be irreversible and unfixable no matter the effort. But the only way we can stop this is if 189 more environmentalists and citizens like you sign our petition before it's too late. We only have one month left before it’s approved, without your help- the human race will suffer more than it ever has. Don’t let old white men in the government decide the fate of generations, and centuries of human history and cellular evolution. I’m asking you not as a fellow american citizen, but as a human being- take a few minutes to end the end from consuming life as we know it.

Sometimes being part of Gen Z is so fucking terrifying. From such a young age, so much pressure is put on us. Pressure to figure out who you are when you don’t know, pressure to do well in school when otherwise your future is ruined. The entire future is terrifying, because we don’t even know if we’ll have one. Older generations, and Boomers in particular, have deteriorated the environment but refuse to fix what they ruined. It’s not them that will have to deal with it in 30 years, it’s us. It’s us who will have to watch the world burn. We’re already watching it burn in Australia, and it will only get worse. We get told that don’t know anything because we are young. “You’re to young” is said to us about everything and it’s sickening. We were forced to grow up too fast and now you say we are are too young? Being a kid is Scary.
