You know, with Shein, Alibaba and Temu being so popular, I was thinking that maybe we could make a list of some ethical and sustainable clothing brands. These will be more expensive, but if you buy from them you'll be helping someone anytime you make a purchase. Please list all the ones you know in a reply.

I want to stress that you can't do everything. This post isn't here to judge anyone who needs new clothes but can't afford an ethical brand. I once had my apartment flood (basement unit!) where the ceiling fell in the bedroom and had to replace everything! Clothing that fit me is hard to find and I think I bought everything from Walmart. This is just for some suggestions and to advertise these other brands.

I’m not saying it’s easy to find brands that are ethical as well as affordable but SHEIN? c’mon now it’s common sense to not buy from them
Yeah the clothes are CHEAP, cheap material and cheap labor gets you your cheap price.
then people try to play the guilt trip like “not every one can afford to not use SHEIN”
so you’re telling me that SHEIN, an online store with SHIPPING COSTS is cheaper than your local thrift store/consignment shop/garage sale literally if you have friends with similar enough fashion taste you can work out a system with them
If you really want cute clothes for affordable prices and you REALLY CARE about climate change and capitalism you would find a way
you literally don’t even have to find it, the path is already there for you Moana
plenty of thrift stores, small businesses, with affordable pricing and QUALITY clothes. Not to mention the YouTube tutorials that could show you how to revamp some of your clothes without a sewing machine.
And consumerism is another thing because buying cute clothes that you never wear contributes to the landfills
TLDR: don’t complain about the economy if climate change if you’re asking for a SHEIN gift card for Christmas😘
Edit: Parents who are working hard so they can buy new clothes for their kids who’ve outgrown their old clothes are limited because you’re filling thrift stores up with things that are going to fall apart in two washes. (thanks vee for this point 🤩)
