Voices do not have gender
Can we normalize the idea that women can have deep voices? please?? Especially for trans women who feel gross or out of place for their deep voice.
Please, break the standard that all women have high pitched, perfect, feminine voices.

I’m reading A Square Meal: A Culinary History of the Great Depression, and I just encountered this passage, which had me imagining the meals of Steve Rogers’ childhood in uncomfortable and depressing vividness:
Among the foods on Atwater’s “expendable” list were eggs, butter, chicken, meat, and fish. Fruits and green vegetables, though commendable as a source of bulk, were likewise unnecessary, their consumption discouraged. Condiments and seasonings (Atwater called them “food adjuncts”) inflamed the appetite, leading to overconsumption, another form of waste, and were therefore to be avoided.
His food budget now appropriately trimmed, the worker was left with unadorned potatoes, cabbage, turnips, dried peas, and assorted cereals, the cheapest available sources of both energy and protein. The New York quotas [weekly food relief supplied to the poor by city government starting in 1930] paid tribute to the sturdy, utilitarian foods recommended by Atwater as replacements for more expensive fare. The cooking instructions that came with the quotas were equally Atwater-esque. On the premise that nourishing food should all be “plain,” the city provided homemakers with instructions to wring the most nutrients from the accompanying ingredients while ensuring the utmost in culinary simplicity:
All vegetables should be thoroughly washed, pared and cooked in enough salted boiling water to cover. cook with cover on the pot and until tender. Save water that vegetables are cooked in for soup stock.
Dried beans are to be soaked in cold water over night. In the morning cover with fresh water, heat slowly and cook until skin will burst.
Macaroni–cook in salted boiling water until tender. Drain water, then rinse off with cold water.
Vegetable soup–potatoes, onions, cabbage, turnips, beans and barley.
Stock for soup can be made from the vegetables that they are cooked in.
Beans–plain–or cooked with onions and tomatoes.
Macaroni–plain–or cooked with onions and tomatoes.
Cabbage, carrots and onions, raw sliced or boiled.
Turnips–plain–cooked or mashed with potatoes.

I understand that the red lyrium AUs and corruption AUs bother people but if you think that I am actually a bad person for painting that shit, then you make me personally deeply uncomfortable. I am not the fiction I create, and I don’t appreciate vitriolic language that implies that by creating a work of art that people do not like (even after tagging them all appropriately) that I am personally a danger to others or am actively a malicious individual.
Creating works of fiction and art that may go uncomfortable places is a thing that brings me happiness. I have stress and pain and bad places, just like everyone else - please don’t seek to reduce me or others to a 1 dimensional mustache-twirling caricature. But I understand not everyone enjoys this, so I have tried to be careful about tagging things, because I understand that some of these works may be deeply upsetting to people who are not in the right mood/headspace for them or who do not share my desire for or method of catharsis. I am not a sadist. I am not reveling in pain. I am painting something that lets me explore strong feelings.
But I am seeing a lot of posts about how the people who are engaging in red lyrium AUs are actually hurtful, cruel people and talentless hacks who have no basis creating art and I just really can’t figure out if the people making these posts realize that the difference between me drawing a fanart that is upsetting and them insulting artists/writers is that red lyrium au fanfic/fanart is fictional, whereas the people they are insulting are real fucking people.
If anything I paint is upsetting in some fashion, I would appreciate people letting me know so I can tag it in a fashion that will allow them to avoid it. Otherwise, I’m gonna get people a fucking ladder so they can get off my back.

whisker is actually. somewhat insecure about his height (i also changed it again from last time he used to be 15 feet. now hes 22 feet and 7 inches..........) that man is MASSIVE!!!!!!!
might as well be on the topic of heights here but err. my johnny is just a few inches taller than zavok (hes 5 feet and 5 inches while zavok is 5 feet and 1 inch) and i just think its fucking FUNNY
RP Scenario 2
Scenario: Angels and demons, reverse morality, and, of course, preg. I'm writing this with m/f pronouns currently, but I'm open to any gender for these concepts (not looking for mpreg though, thank you!)
After being discovered and taken in by an angelic creature, a woman develops feelings for him. They start a relationship, and after a few months, she finds out she's pregnant. Believing the angel to be genuine, charming, and kind, she's thrilled about the development despite any fears of complications or pregnancy.
However, as she nears her due date, things start getting more and more suspicious. Others who know of the angel are beginning to become more intense and rabid in their following, planning out massive events and doing dangerous things in their worship. The angel switches between lavishing her with attention, or lashing out, or ignoring her entirely for the most part.
In her loneliness, she begins spending time with a creature that the angel has locked up and silenced- a demon. He is displayed as a trophy for the cult, but she pities him. After unsuccessfully trying to convince the angel to let him go and free him, she starts spending time with him, bringing him trinkets, food, and other things to help him feel less lonely. They find ways to communicate without words, like sign language, writing, or drawing. The two develop feelings for one another, but given the situation, and her attachment to the angel, neither can act on it or admit it. She begins confiding in him about her own loneliness and her nerves about what's going on, but he's stopped before he can tell her what he thinks is really happening with the angel. When the demon's imprisonment guards find out he's trying to warn her, they no longer let her return.
In the last bit of her pregnancy, she finally discovers the truth- her angel has other plans than what he told her. She is to be a sacrifice, and her child is to be a cult leader for his followers to spread his power. Horrified at this, and not wanting her child to be doomed to such a fate, she attempts to escape. She's quickly discovered, leading to her near-capture as she suffers at the hands of the cult.
However, she's saved by the demon, who was given time to break out in the chaos of her escape. The two hurry to freedom, traveling to a small town and looking for other demons. No longer under the control of the angel, and far enough away to be safe, he's finally able to explain to her that the angels are not what they seem. He and a small group of demons are attempting to make sure that the angels stop targeting vulnerable creatures, including other demons and humans. These cults are becoming incredibly dangerous. However, he promises to keep her safe, and she swears to do the same for him. The two are finally free to act on their feelings and be together, but the threat of the cult and an angel missing his prize loom on the horizon.
