[SFM Art]: HorrorTober2024: Day 11: Aliens
Based on the series 'Aliens' created and owned by:
20th Century Studio's
The Soliph, a race of intelligent arthropods. They are powerful, and very adaptable, and are worshippers of thought and celestial bodies. They are a stark contrast with most alien designs, even among the rare arthropods. Designed initially after spiders, but new design direction is the heavily understudied Solfugid. These arachnid-like aliens evolved the use of 4 arms as a hand of sorts, and went on from there. They are large in stature, and and relatively strong. They can move very quickly. Most of their organs are very redundant.
Notes: digestion not fully described. Cancerous biomass is destroyed, and the cells put in enzyme mixtures to assist absorption of broken nutrient. This means when they have their prey being digested, less energy is lost- as food breaks down externally, cancerous biomass absorbs it in the mixture, then they drink the remaining mixture. Fat filter catches metals, sends them to oil glands to make an oil that reflects sunlight. They send out waste through an oil gland in bottom of body. Edits: they have oil glands all over that waste is sent to from the entire body. They use it for defense and waste removal. Oil dies and falls off after 30 minutes in general. They are no longer large, their highest stature is 5 feet in human measurements. They relied on foraging more than hunting on early evolution. They do not break down cancerous biomass specifically now, but routinely replace parts of the body by first destroying it with a separate organ. Prevents cancer without me needing to understand cancer.
Their society is focused on worship of stars and nebulae. They, for that reason, have focused heavily on science. There is high scientific literacy among the Soliph, as it is rooted deeply in their culture. Highly underdeveloped biological and medicinal tech, as their bodies were less of a focus to them. Stars are worshipped because their planet was largely inhospitable in daytime- stars were their salvation, the ‘Merciful Sky.’ Technology never had conflict with secularism, as they meshed perfectly. It was the love of the merciful sky that brought them to the stars, and it was the trust in their power that lead them to joining them.
Addendum: they will not have hatcheries. Soliph use internal birth.
The Ngoh are a race that evolved in rocky tide zones. What was once a bottom feeder fled to land for safety, and conquered a host of bigger problems to keep that. They are now a terrestrial species with powerful cognition and some of the most unique anatomy in more than just their locality.
The Thing (1982) - dir. John Carpenter
alien: So what did you specialise in?
human: adaptation.
alien: Adap- you can't do that. Adaptation is meant for the PROCESS of specialisation. You can't SPECIALISE in adaptation.
human: Sure I did. I'm actually the apex predator in every surface inch of my native planet.
alien: And every species you classify as human is capable of producing viable young? Where would the mixed-adaptation offspring even live?
human: Anywhere they want, really. External, genetic climate modifications are largely just for the aesthetics these days.
alien: What about temperatures? Could a human adapted to the coldest climate just move to the hottest region, or vice versa, and survive?
human: Oh yeah they do that a lot. They'll need to be taught how to properly equip proper tools, clothing and shelter maintenance in order to keep themselves to tolerable temperatures, but yeah.
alien: Tools and maintenance?
human: Yeah, there's machines that can make hot air cold, and cold air hot, so while outdoor survival is only possible temporarily, it's possible to make housing structures that are comfortable in any climate.
alien: I don't... I don't think that counts as "adaptation". That's not what natural adaptation means.
human: Actually humans don't consider it "natural" either. We kind of consider ourselves separate from other nature.
alien: Well that sure explains SOME human behaviour, but... That's not natural adaptation. That's not how any of this works.
human: Nah it works quite well. We've specialised in making tools and machines for adaptation.
alien: That's not how it works.
human: Nuh-uh. Is too.
alien: Are you SURE you're not specialised in being exhausting to deal with?
human: Well actually I'm a pursuit predator as well, so literally yes.

AVP Retribution by Peter Stevens
If your a fan of the Alien VS Predator books, comics, and films than let me tell you about a book that I feel could have been a great setting for a third avp movie called AVP RETRIBUTION. The book features the formation of weyland-yutani industries, a young Predator hunting humans and xenomorphs to get retribution, and the boy that loses his family to xenomorphs and joins the young predator to hunt together against aliens and humans for revenge as well. The story also connects the weapons and tech left behind by the predator from Predator 2 and the wolf predator plasma pistol seen in the avp requiem film. It connects the origin of weapons made by weyland yutani from the Alien films such as the motion sensor in prototype form and a very early version of the smart gun in prototype form. This book with some more editing to the story could have been made into a film with the perfect setting all layer out.
What are your opinions on this and wether you have read it or not would you think this would be a good idea for a movie?

Humans Are Crazy
Aliens have such different gender and biology from humans that none of them menstruate. So imagine this.
Alien: Human Steve, why did I find blood on the lavatory floor?
Steve: Oh, that's just Karen.
Alien: What??
Steve: Human females bleed from their reproductive organs once every month for five to seven days.
Alien: wHAT?!
Steve, calmly: Yeah, they can lose enough blood in a lifetime to kill ten grown men.
Alien: WHaT ?!?!
Karen, walking in: Steve, I need A FUCKING break. And chocolate. And a heating pad. I'll be in my sleeping quarters. Also, I threw up.
Steve: Okay, take the day off, I'll bring you your stuff in a bit.
Alien: *jots down in notebook* Human females are indestructible and fearsome. Regard them with respect.
EDIT: I swear, if this is the thing that makes me Tumblr famous, I’m gonna blow a braincell. And I don’t have many of those left, so…
Edit 2: Guys. Guys. What?! My grumpy menstrual rant is in no way worthy of being tumblr famous. *is mildly to severely confused/thankful/bumfuddled*
Edit 3: Why is this still getting notes wtf
I Am Menstruating, So Here's A Period Thought.
(Yes, it's about aliens again.)
We, as humans, eat a lot of food that other animals can't eat. Chocolate, grapes, avocados, broccoli, alcohol (although I did once have a cat who loved beer), caffeine, almonds, pistachios, macadamia nuts, any spicy food, tomatoes, the list goes on. Dairy products, everyone.
I am currently having period cravings. For hot cheetos, spicy ramen, raspberry-infused dark chocolate, and hot cocoa. Any and all of that would kill a dog.
But, would it kill an alien?
I once saw a thing that said that chocolate is a universally poisonous substance. And sure, I'll stand by that. If you give chocolate to any species except for humans, they will die. Miserably.
BUT! And this is a large but.
HUMANS ARE NOT ALL-POWERFUL, NOR ARE THEY ALL-IMMUNE!
Pokeweed (a little, deadly plant characterized by its red stem and purple berries) is absolutely lethal to us. One tiny berry will kill us. Oleander, a beautiful pink/red/white flower, can kill with any/all of its parts. Nightshade, recognized by its bright red berries, kills in less than 24 hours.
Aliens consider all of these plants to be delicacies.
Zygerin chefs whip up fabulously delicious hemlock soups for their patrons. Ytertjjijkis bakers utilize nightshade, pokeweed, and yew in all of their most famous pastries. Aàkî cooks use Oleander and destroying angel mushrooms in common garden salads.
But yes, chocolate is deadly to them. And the other 99.999% of the universe.
I wrote two thingies about aliens and now people love me.
Guys.
I'm just a little goblin trying to be funny. Like, yes, I do art and fanfic and all that, but mostly I'm just ranting about my brother being a raging h0m0ph0bic weirdo and my friends being crazy gremlins.
Eventually, I'll have an Etsy where you'll be able to buy my weird art. But until then, please keep enjoying my weird shit.
(Also, would you guys want Karen The Raging Hormonal Monster and Human Poison stickers?)
I need to ask a serious question to Monsterfucker and Aliens fuckers.
What did you guys think about the Aliens from Ben 10, Especially the Omnitrix Aliens?
Just asking.
(I am talking about the Aliens, Not Ben, like, The Aliens he transforms.)
the aliens are coming
