What To Do When You Feel Overwhelmed Or Oversaturated
what to do when you feel overwhelmed or oversaturated
As we continue into the year we have a lot of goals and a lot of things we would like to achieve and in the process of achieving them we might feel overwhelmed or oversaturated here are a few things that help me when I feel overwhelmed or oversaturated
π take a break (cue take a break fromΒ Hamilton) β get away from the circumstance or task that is making you feel overwhelmed. take a quick break to reset your mind and refresh. a few minutes of deep breathing, stretching, watching an episode of your favourite series or going for a stroll can be beneficial. I am someone who, in some ways, overwhelms myself. what I mean by this is that I have work divided by certain days, but I try to do everything at once because I tell myself that if I do it now, I'll have a lot of free time later - I don't end up having free time and I just overwhelm myself to work, and taking a break between everything helps.
π practice mindfulness β mindfulness techniques, such as deep breathing, meditation, or progressive muscle relaxation, can help you calm your mind and relieve stress. Concentrate on the current moment and let go of concerns about the past and future.
π set boundaries β If you're already feeling overloaded, learn to say no to new obligations or tasks. Set boundaries to safeguard your time and energy, and don't be hesitant to delegate chores or request assistance when necessary.
π prioritize tasks β Identify the most important things that require your immediate attention and work on them first. Break down larger jobs into smaller, more manageable steps and complete them one at a time.
π limit stimuli β If you're feeling overwhelmed by information or stimuli, make efforts to reduce your exposure. This could include turning off notifications on your phone or computer, unsubscribing from unneeded emails or newsletters, or taking a brief break from social media or news intake.
π practice self-care β Take care of your physical and mental health by participating in activities that nourish and renew you. This could involve getting adequate sleep, eating good meals, exercising frequently, spending time with loved ones, or engaging in enjoyable hobbies and activities.
π seek support β Seek encouragement and support from friends, family, or trustworthy colleagues. Sometimes simply talking to someone about how you're feeling will make you feel less overwhelmed.
π seek professional help β If feelings of overwhelm continue or have a substantial impact on your daily functioning, consider obtaining help from a mental health professional, such as a therapist or counsellor. They can teach methods and coping mechanisms to assist you to better handle stress and overwhelm.
Remember that it is normal to feel overwhelmed from time to time, especially when dealing with difficult events or hectic seasons in life. Be gentle to yourself, and remember that you can get through challenging situations with resilience and support.
bye bye my dew drops!!

things I do as someone who has a short attention span
π©° β identifying distractions: I try to recognize which distractions are likely to divert my focus away from the activity at hand (when I do home workout videos I get distracted by YouTube shorts - now I put off my internet connection when Iβm about to workout).
π©° β counting on my fingers: personally when I count on my fingers it kind of sends a signal to my brain to lead me back to what I was doing, I think it is a habit that just randomly began and now it has helped me alone
π©° β when I get distracted while using my phone: for Instance I'm meant to update my notion for the night and go back to bed but I open Pinterest and get distracted what I do is go back to my homepage and just pause and then I scroll through some apps to give my brain the signal that I'm looking for something and it automatically leads me back to what u was doing
π©°βΒ when I have to do a lot:Β but my mind keeps rambling and I keep getting distracted, what I do is write down whatever is on my mind. I have a small notebook on my bedside table, and when this happens, I pick that note up and write down what is on my mind. You can also just get a rambling journal; it's almost the same, It helps a lot.Β
π©° β minimize distractions: I take active measures to reduce distractions, this could include turning off notifications on my phone or computer, dismissing tabs or applications, or locating a quiet location in which to concentrate. when I get distracted on my phone and I remember I need to do something the best thing to do is just shut my phone down until you're done with your tasks
if you were able to pick up a few things that could help you thatβs awesome - something I said here might seem small but they definitely help me a whole lot thatβs all for today bye my dew drops !!

I feel like I could have done far better today and I can actually pinpoint where the problem is, i realize that after I complete washing plates and cooking I lose all energy to walk or exercise and every other task after that is just a lot harder for me so Iβve decided to start working out earlier in the day - like by 6am since thatβs the time my sister gets ready for school and after working out itβd be time for family prayer so after family prayer instead of going to wash plates I will start walking instead and after that, I will continue my day from there and see what happens and Iβll update on here tomorrow - other than the fact I keep falling of track the day was ok

How to be approachable
Being approachable is an important characteristic that can improve your personal and professional life. Here are some suggestions on how to cultivate and sustain these quality:
Smiling can increase approachability and friendliness. It creates a pleasant environment and encourages others to interact with you.
Open Body Language: Avoid crossing your arms or standing with your hands in your pockets since they can make you appear closed off. Instead, use open body language by facing people squarely, creating eye contact (this can be really hard though), and having your arms relaxed at your sides.
Active listening demonstrates a real interest in what others have to say. Nodding, and asking follow-up questions show that you value their input and promote additional conversation. I always try to listen attentively It makes people feel heard especially when you also ask questions when they tell a story. As someone who talks a lot I also love listening
Be approachable. Physically: Position yourself in situations where people can easily approach you. Do not isolate yourself in a corner or bury your face in your phone. Initiate Conversation: Take the initiative to engage in conversations with people. This might be as easy as a polite greeting or a question about their day. Small gestures can go a long way toward making others feel comfortable approaching you. This is so important not all the time people will want to approach you because they might be shy or wary, so if you're interested in making a conversation with someone, sometimes you just need to get up and go for it. Approachability in Communication: When communicating, be aware of your tone and body language. Strive to express warmth and openness rather than being combative or dismissive.
I hope this helps and you feel more inclined to approach people and others see you as approachable

Today I decided to try a different routine most days I start with physical tasks like working out, walking and doing the dishes but today I cleaned my room and just got to work on my laptop - the work I do on my laptop takes up the whole day so I decided to do that first for today and I realize it was a horrible idea because getting the physical tasks done when I had the strength was the right decisions. it was actually worse than my first routine and I still spent a lot of time on my laptop tasks and I still ended up stressed and lazy to do stuff like workout and walk.

π¬ The Office S7 ep1-20 ~ the proposal was really great and cute, I love Threat Level Midnight (when I'm older I'll definitely make a home movie/film it'd be a nice experience. I like Micheal but I hate Micheal he doesn't know when to stop and it's so embarrassing like the second hand embarrassment is just horrible, he's so jealous about everything and he makes every little thing about him. I mean yh there are some things I can take but sometimes he just goes too far and it is so embarrassing
