War On Terror - Tumblr Posts
Yeah because the message OP said was "don't forget the men that will suffer unjustly" not "women and children suffer no more than men". We can remember how the men will suffer because it's forgotten a lot that some of those children we care about are little boys. The Taliban will abuse them too, albeit to a lesser extent, like they do the women.
Non-Muslim Afghan men will be treated as subhuman because of thier religion. They will have to see thier culture and religion be decimated by the Taliban. Muslim Afghan men will be abused in order for them to think supporting the Taliban and oppressing the Afghan women is okay.
While yes we shouldn't ignore the sexism found in the situation; we shouldn't just condemn the Afghan men to abuse because some of them will become misogynistic and Taliban supporters from a successful Taliban invasion of Afghanistan. They had to learn this as children to become this. It's a cycle of abuse and torture we shouldn't ignore because the Afghan women will have it worse. A Taliban controlled Afghanistan will hurt all Afghans not just the women.
Maybe this is the wrong platform to pose this question given the average tumblr user but
Is it just me or did our generation (those of is who are currently 20-30 ish) just not get the opportunity to be young in the 'standard' sense?
Like, everyone I talk to who's over 40 has all their wild stories about their teens and 20s, being young and dumb, and then I talk to my friends and coworkers and classmates, and we just... dont.
The Same people who do the Same thing and who get the Same result and then blame everyone else.
9-11 is the same as 10-07.
Radicalized Muslims randomly terrorizing and killing.
The US War on Terror.
Israel's War on Terror. They are no different.
Think about that. Stop cheering and marching on behalf of terrorism. You didn't march on behalf of the Taliban, did you?
