Also why does this keep reminding me of that one scene in star trek where mccoy is threatened by that Khan-dude from the past
Idk if you’re going to lift my chin gently with that dagger or stab me, but it’s kinda hot
McCoy: I'm serious Jim, I've never seen Spock that angry before.
Shower thought:
Kirk and Spock share a soul
Spock and Bones share a mind
Kirk and Bones share a heart
Bones is a massive pessimist but that’s okay because he has Spirk to make him look at the bright-side (his soul)
Kirk is impulsive and sometimes doesn’t think things through but that’s okay because he has Spones by his side to talk sense into him (his mind)
Spock can’t handle emotions but that’s okay because he has McKirk to encourage and reassure him (his heart)
They all complete eachother <3
I love these silly little gays so much
Summary: “Spock has spent most of his life ostracized for being “other.” Amongst Vulcans, he’s the most human. Amongst humans, he’s the most Vulcan. The Enterprise has provided him with a unique environment, and he finally feels safe enough to experiment with showing his authentic self. That is, until an accident on an away-mission damages his emotional control.
His closest friends rally to help him, but he starts to suspect the rest of his crewmates, and his human mother, prefer this damaged version of himself. There’s also the issue of keeping certain feelings hidden from his captain…”
This chapter contains: Spock takes a stand, Jim is dicked over by politics (story of his life), I want to shake Amanda and so does everyone else, and Spock experiences being Seen.
Featuring: Sarek.
2x02 - Who Mourns for Adonais?
Vulcan marriages are very fascinating because for a species that prides itself on being more enlightened than the rest of the Universe for embracing pure logic their marriage customs are very regressive.
Like arranged marriages are the norm and T'Pol even felt the need to create a situation where Spock either dies or comes to resent her because apparently she can't just divorce him because she wants someone else.
from kirk's officiation of a wedding aboard the majority-human enterprise, where he speaks of marriage as being between "two people" (rather than between, say, "a man and a woman") we can conclude that gay marriage is a global right to humans by the time tos takes place. however i dont believe we see any vulcan gay couples in any timeline, at any point. because vulcan betrothal and pon farr ceremonies are exclusively heterosexual, i surmise that queerness, to vulcans, is generally regarded as a human thing, or at the very least, inherently non-vulcan. and spock, who furiously represses his human side, must also therefore furiously repress his queerness, which makes his relationship to kirk all the more Absolutely Insane
did i ever tell you guys about the time i ranked star trek characters based on what menstrual product they'd use
i use flipaclip btw and i cant think of a caption my stomach hurts
Jim accidentally blurting out “bye, love you” to Spock after one of their many non work interactions. Uhura is left in utter shock and is to dumbfound to say anything so Spock turns to her and asks what’s wrong.
“He, he said he loves you, Spock.”
The Vulcan blinks for a moment, then turns to the space Jim once filled. Then back to Uhura. He did?
To Spock, the emotion of Jim’s goodbye was the same as usual. He hadn’t even noticed the verbal change.
does anyone else want to think about the fact that spock bleeds green and that means nothing to other vulcans. even stating the sentiment "i bleed (green) too" would alienate him from other vulcans far more than it could ever bring him closer to them. an appeal to emotion. how human.
Recently binged Star Trek TOS and wanted to make a background for myself :))
Star Trek - The Man Trap
A shape-shifting alien creature (The Salt Vampire) assumes the form of a shapely blonde girl in a mini-dress and attempts to seduce Crewman Darnell.
Star Trek - The Man Trap
During a calm moment on the bridge, Lt. Uhura gets up from her station and heads over to Mr. Spock in the captain’s chair. When Spock points out an error she made on a recent report, she takes the opportunity to gently tease the half-Vulcan. She playfully flirts with him to make him visibly uncomfortable.
