romangirls it just dawned on me that we haven't even gotten to the episode where roman walks into the middle of a protest yet I fear it's not looking good for us

the succession fandom is incredibly unique to me because although it does take a lot from the characters in the actual show, a lot of the fandom also runs on headcanons where the characters are being "good" or "moral" or even just doing daily activities like chatting to eachother with no mal intent. this part of the fandom doesn't celebrate or even acknowledges who the characters are, but mourns what the characters could have been if not for their circumstances.

every once and a while I'm like "Jesse armstrong is a comedy writer he won't go that dark right" and then I remember that succession is based off of king leer and was literally pitched as a modern greek tragedy 😀
