More faces. My longterm goal is to develop a solid "shorthand" technique, in which I can articulate the features of the face using a bare minimum amount of lines. It requires a pretty honed understanding of bone structure, skin texture and (most importantly) lighting.

Shorthand practice does not go well but considering I started yesterday I like the progress I'm making

Does anybody ever get like a whole scene dropped into their head at one time and you have to write it down quickly before you forget it? For that, I do a kind of short hand where it’s just dialogue and very minimal descriptions. Does anybody else do that? And if you do, how do you stay motivated to actually turn it into a polished scene?
