Overly dramatic retelling of a chess match with a friend :

I can’t recall the opening, it was either the classic king’s pawn opening, or the queen’s pawn opening. Regardless, it began as usual.

As the opening phase came to a close, I quickly gained a lead on material, taking three minor pieces, and some pawns.

Suddenly, my opponent took my queen. And I, stricken with grief and hopelessness, had no choice but to keep going. My teacher told me that I could still use my minor pieces and rooks, so I shouldn’t worry. And I’ve got to admit, I still had the lead.

Quickly, my sorrow turned into a burning rage, no piece could replace my queen. I needed revenge.

I turned aggressive, a bloodthirsty killer who devoured everything in it’s way. In the middle of my disappointment, i had him cornered.

Despite having almost every other piece intact, I could never recover my loss. So I used the least valuable of pieces, that was the only way I could make things right.

Blocking his escape with a bishop and a knight, i swiftly delivered checkmate with a pawn.

Hey, everyone who follows this blog. I just wanted to thank the few of you who followed me consistently, threw some asks at me, and enjoyed my ramblings. I'm posting this to say that I got an internship writing reviews for a website called The Trendy Spoon. Because of that, my reviews and thought pieces here will probably be considerably less frequent, if not nonexistent. I won't take down the blog, just in case someone wanted to reread a review or something, but there probably won't be much new content. You are always welcome to continue asking me things and following me over at The Trendy Spoon. They're still my thoughts on things, just less rambly and formatted differently.
