Dambi's Style, Phone, and Bedroom
── Daily
She's kind of the opposite of Nari.
She wears lots of black and leather.
She has a girl crush style - or maybe it's just the way she carries herself - and has gone kinda viral for it, even among non fans.
Female fans call her names like 'my wife/girlfriend', and she's definitely part of the 'nation's girl crush' line.
She mostly wears Converse and other sneakers, but she also likes a heeled boot.
Almost always wears a face cap.
── Airport
She still keeps the face cap on.
Similar to Aina's airport fashion, but a little more put together.
She also occasionally wears large shorts.
── Practice
Face cap is still on, guys.
She often wears a windbreaker, but she ends up taking it off like 10 minutes into practice.
Sometimes, she'll wear a flannel instead, but she takes that off aswell.
Underneath, she only has a sports bra on.
Dance practice fancams go crazy.
── Sleepwear
It's kind of unexpected and a juxtaposition to her normal style.
She loves wearing large, cozy, fluffy clothes to bed.
Nari got her an oodie for her birthday, and she wears it like all of the time.
── Body Mods
She has 10 piercings (2 helixes on her right ear and a rook and 3 lobes on both ears).
She at least 4 (confirmed) tattoos, and she drew/designed them all herself.
The first tattoo (18) she got was a deer on top of her right elbow while she was still a trainee (against company rules), and it represents her nickname.
Her second tattoo (19) is an astronaut on her right bicep. There's no specific meaning behind it she just liked the drawing.
Her third tattoo (20) is a caligraphy flower that she drew during a caligraphy class. It's on the back of her left arm.
And her final confirmed tattoo is 'love is dead' written above her lower knee. It's the title of one of the B-sides that she wrote.
As for unseen tattoos, she has 'each time I breathe, I miss you' written in korean under her left breast/on her rib. She got this at 24, almost 3 years after her breakup.
── Accessories
She has a huge face cap collection (along with some beanies).
She wears a lot of chain accessories like bracelets and necklaces.
She wears loads of rings.
── Phone
Her phone is the iPhone 13 pro in graphite.
She has a black/clear case with an astronaut on the back.
Her lockscreen and homescreen are the same photo of her with her sisters.
── Bedroom
Her bedroom is plain black and white.
She has a desk for writing music.
Nari's Style, Phone, and Bedroom
── Daily
She loves bright and colourful clothes - you'll rarely see her wearing all black.
Her style is very cute and a bit kidcore.
She loves wearing short skirts/shorts with oversized tops.
She has lots of colourful shoes because she likes to colour coordinate her outfits.
── Airport
A comfier version of her daily style.
She wears more sweatpants/sweatshorts and hoodies here, but she's not as casual as Aina.
Her hair is always braided when on flights.
── Practice
Cropped t-shirts and sweats.
It's still very colourful but not as cute as her daily/airport fashion.
She often wears her shirt on one shoulder when she gets hot.
── Sleepwear
Character pj sets!!
She wishes she could shop in the kids' section. :'(
She also braids her hair for bedtime.
── Body Mods
She has 8 piercings (2 helixes on her left ear and 3 lobes on both).
She has two small tattoos and would get more.
She got her first tattoo when her brother turned 18 (she was 20), and it is 'no. 1/2' written near her right elbow to match her brother. She got it because she's very close to her brother.
Her second tattoo (21) is 'youth' written on her left outer ankle. She got it because she wants to stay 'youthful' forever, regardless of her age.
── Accessories
She wears a lot of cute hair accessories like clips and headbands.
She occasionally wears arm/leg warmers with her outfits.
She's always wearing lots of necklaces, earrings, and bracelets, and she doesn’t have a preference for gold or silver.
A lot of her accessories have cute characters on them.
── Phone
Her phone is the iPhone 13 pro in silver.
(She really wanted the pink, but 13 pros don't come in that colour).
She has like 10 different cases that she uses rotationally.
Her lockscreen is a baby photo of her and her brother.
Her homescreen is a picture of her with her mum.
── Bedroom
Her room isn't as colourful as you'd expect. It's all white, and she has no posters or paintings.
She has a desk with a computer for all of her geek-tivities.
She only has one plush on her bed, which is actually her baby plushy, and it's a white bunny.
Aina's Style, Phone, and Bedroom
── Daily
Her style is pretty versatile. As long as it's baggy, she'll wear it.
She mostly wears oversized hoodies and jumpers, so she hates summer because she has to wear t-shirts.
She is known for only wearing one pair of white New Balances with almost every outfit.
Her members have tried to buy her new shoes but she politely declines them and returns their gifts because she knows she won't wear them (she only wears one pair of shoes at a time).
She rarely wears short sleeves because she hates showing her arms (despite showing them all the time on stage).
── Airport
A couple of knetz have come at her for her airport fashion, saying it's 'too casual' and 'giving homeless', especially compared to her other members.
But she said practicality >>> fashion any day, and didn't really care.
── Practice
For their normal practices, she wears short sleeves and sweats because she's just around her members and their dance teacher.
If it's being recorded, she'll wear a long sleeve shirt instead.
── Sleepwear
While walking around the house, she wears old oversized t-shirts and sweats/shorts.
She just sleeps in just a t-shirt no matter how cold it is because she finds the waistbands of trousers uncomfortable.
── Body Mods
She has 12 piercings (1 rook, 2 helixes, and 3 lobes on both ears).
She has no tattoos because she's too indecisive and afraid she'll regret them.
── Accessories
She actually barely wears jewellery despite having like 12 piercings because she forgets to put them in and also just can't be bothered most of the time.
Same thing for necklaces and bracelets, except she does have one necklace with her initial on it that she wears the most often (so like 5 times a year).
She does like to wear rings, though, because she can fiddle with them.
For their 5th year anniversary (technically, it hasn't happened yet, but oh well), they all bought friendship rings, and thats probably the only piece of jewellery that she wears consistently.
── Phone
Her phone is the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5 in cream.
(Yes, she is the only Samsung user).
She has a variety of cute cases, but she normally uses a clear case with a little charm/bracelet thingy (top left).
Her lockscreen and homescreen are the same, a heart pattern with a cream background.
── Bedroom
Her room is all white/cream.
She has a desk with a computer and laptop for music/gaming purposes.
Her bed is full with various plushies that she's gotten as gifts/bought herself.
About GRLZ HIGH
GRLZ HIGH was a six member K-pop girl group that debuted under MISSMUSE Entertainment (now known as Storybook Entertainment) on the 21st of July 2014.
──
Warnings: Bullying, abuse, blackmail, scamming, hate messages, and cyberbullying.
──
The members consisted of;
Kim YUNA Dasom - 24* - Lead Vocal, Leader
Lee BinBin Bitna - 22 - Main Rapper, Lead Dancer
Kim Cherri Myung-Hee - 22 - Lead Rapper
Hwang MIA Da-Eun - 21 - Lead Dancer, Sub Vocal
Bae Haneul So-Hee - 20 - Main Dancer
Park Sena Byeol - 20 - Visual, Main Vocal
*Ages above are age at debut.
──
GRLZ HIGH tried multiple different concepts during their career, such as hip hop or cute concepts, but they were best known for their sexy-cute songs. The girls were not a household name by any means, but they were able to gain a modest fanbanse. This was largely due to MME spending the biggest portion of their funds on the group, even to the point where the CEO allegedly sold her private car to increase the budget of the ‘Heart Attack’ music video. However, GRLZ HIGH's successes were few and far between, and it was very difficult for them to secure any tv spots, let alone wins, as they were from an unknown company. Due to their lack of funds, the girls had to share a dingy two bedroom apartment with their manager and, along with the pressure of their struggling idol careers, this put a strain on the groups relationships.
Unbeknownst to the public, there was division within the group. YUNA, Cherri, BinBin and MIA were on one side, and Haneul and Sena were on the other. According to the other four, Haneul and Sena were unfairly favoured, both by fans and the company, for their visuals despite them being ‘the most untalented/laziest members’. Although there was no real proof of this, it sparked jealousy amongst the four causing them to treat the other two very poorly. Haneul and Sena were practically ran out of the group on the 12th of December 2015 when the bullying and mental abuse became too much to handle, resulting in the termination of their contracts. The two girls were blackmailed to keep silent using explicit personal images and evidence of them breaking company rules (leaving hotels, smoking, etc), but also the neglectful staff members, such as their manager who chose to ignore the obvious signs, meant that the higher ups were unaware of any bullying.
The group continued as 4 members after their departure, but there were a lot of rumours and confusion created in response to the sudden news. A controversial kpop news channel named ‘Seo-Yeon Holmes’ even made a YouTube video named ‘How to Catch a Bully’ which featured clips of several different kpop groups- one of which being GRLZ HIGH- and ultimately claimed that the videos were proof of bullying within the selected groups. This video blew up, and although some people defended the girls, claiming that the accusations were baseless and defamatory, GRLZ HIGH began to attract negative attention. The members were infuriated by this, and sent Haneul and Sena hate, both anonymously and directly, for trying to ‘sabotage’ the group.
Even when the accusations came out, MISSMUSE staff were generally very caring and supportive towards the members. YUNA decided to take advantage of this and ask for multiple ‘loans’ from managers and stylists. Obviously she never paid them back, since she was living of off an allowance, and it was eventually brought to the higher ups of the company. YUNA was silently put on hiatus, as an attempt to not stir up any more negative press. It wasn't until an ex-staff member spoke up online that the information was brought to the public. The news of the scamming once again threw GRLZ HIGH into the spotlight, but for all of the wrong reasons. MME originally planned to try continue GRLZ HIGH as three, but an anonymous source soon came out with allegations, and this time, real proof, of bullying and abuse towards ex-members Haneul and Sena. This source would later reveal themselves as Sena, a month after the groups disbandment.
GRLZ HIGH was forced to disband on the 10th of February 2017 due to all of the negative attention they had gained in the media. They had amassed a total of 0 music show wins by the end of their career. YUNA was soon prosecuted for not repaying staff members over USD$700 in loans. However, due to harassment laws not being strongly enforced, and bullying cases being extremely hard to win, Haneul and Sena did not press charges against the four members. After the scandal came out and was ‘resolved’ none of the girls tried to redebut in the industry, and all are now living quiet lives. Despite this, photos of Sena and Haneul hanging out together on their private Instagrams have been leaked, along with photos of Yuna and Mia separately. Cherri and BinBin have not been seen on any social media platforms after the incident.

About HanA
HanA, real name Han Ah-Reum, is a soloist rapper and producer who debuted under Storybook Entertainment, originally known as MISSMUSE Entertainment, in 2012. She is most well-known for being able to produce songs for a wide range of groups and genres. The main two idol groups she has made songs for are GRLZ HIGH and NOVELLA, but she also produces for independent artists and artists who are not under the SBE label.
──
HanA was born on July 2nd, 1992, in a very small countryside town. Her mum, a maths teacher, and her dad, a blue-collar construction worker, already had two girls and one boy before her, making up a family of 6. Growing up, HanA's family did not have much money. However, their parents insisted on sending their kids to piano or, in her brothers case, taekwondo lessons. HanA was called a prodigy by her piano and music teachers, and she even managed to win some regional competitions. Her love for music mainly stemmed from her growing up watching the first generation of K-pop, but it only further developed into a passion when she got older and was exposed to underground/indie rappers.
HanA composed and wrote her first song at age 13 (2006), but living in a small town in the 2000s made it hard for her to distribute her music. Over the course of the next 3-4 years, HanA would spend most of her middle school and high school life focusing on music instead of studying, much to her parents' disappointment. She began working part-time in restaurants to save up money for bus rides to town, discs to burn, and her biggest goal, moving to Seoul.
HanA barely managed to graduate with bare minimum grades, but university was never an option for her in the first place. As soon as she graduated, she scraped up all the money she had made to move to Seoul at 18 and begin her journey as a music producer and soloist rapper. After two years of independent production, she finally signed a contract with SBE.
Many NOVELLA fans, aka Authors, are also fans of HanA. Although she enjoys working on music behind the scenes, she has occasionally popped up on the production lines' livestreams. Additionally, Aina has previously mentioned that HanA taught her most of what she knows about composing, and they have quite a close mentor/student and older sister/younger sister relationship.

── ✒️ About Sujin
Warnings: N/A
As a child, Sujin was always exceptionally brilliant, but she had no real ambitions growing up and did not enjoy school. She would often rebel against her parents by threatening not to apply to university and skipping cram school to hang out with friends.
After passing her CSAT with flying colours, Su-Jin went to Yonsei University to study an undeclared degree. Being the extrovert she is, Su-Jin did not fail to make tons of friends and was thriving. The only thing holding her back was the actual university part.
On the way to one of her lectures, Sujin was abruptly stopped by a scouting manager who worked for MISSMUSE Entertainment. Despite refusing the offer and insisting that she couldn't sing or dance, she was still invited to audition at MME. She decided to go audition on a whim, but around one month later, she was invited to MME.
MME never ended up adding new members to GRLZ HIGH, and they soon disbanded in Feb 2017, which caused many trainees to leave the company. Only 5 trainees remained at MME, which included Ae-Cha, Aina, and Su-Jin.
In 2018, MME announced that she was in the final lineup for an upcoming girl group. They did not explicitly tell Su-Jin to drop out, but the group was set to debut years before her graduation, so she made the executive decision to leave uni before starting her 3rd year. This caused a major fall out between her and her parents, who didn't even know she was a trainee until she dropped out. Her parents would then go on to cut all contact with her for around two years until her brothers managed to convince them otherwise.
In NOVELLA, Su-Jin's greatest insecurity has been her ‘lack of talent’. Compared to the other members who had developed their dance/vocal skills from early on in life, Su-Jin was very inexperienced and often felt that her own singing and dancing were letting the group down. Many antis of the group claim that she is ‘nothing but a pretty face’ and/or a ‘dozen’.

Her family has one husky (elder) and a samoyed (2yrs).
She was in choir all throughout school.
── ✒️ About Haeun
Warnings: N/A
Growing up in a restaurant has made her extremely fond of cooking. Regulars have called her the 'boss' or 'head chef' since she was young, but despite her love for cooking, becoming a singer has been Haeun's dream for as long as she can remember. Her parents would constantly watch music programmes on TV and play trot songs on the radio, so it was only a matter of time before she began mimicking what she heard and saw. She began performing classic Korean songs for all the aunties and uncles in her neighbourhood and would even sing in the restaurant on special occasions.
It was around age 16 when Haeun first became interested in becoming an idol, and so, she began practising dance alongside her singing. Unfortunately for her, dance did not come as naturally to her as singing did, and she struggled a lot with it during her pre-debut years.
After graduating high school, Haeun took a solo trip to Seoul to audition for several entertainment agencies without telling anyone as she was so afraid of getting rejected. Perhaps her fears were right because the only agency she heard back from was MISSMUSE Entertainment, a Nugu company with one unsuccessful girl group. She was about to decline the offer, but her parents convinced her to take the opportunity once she finally confided in them.
As a trainee, Haeun lost a lot of confidence. Being surrounded by people her age and younger who were significantly better dancers, made her feel a strong sense of imposter syndrome. Even after debuting, she often puts herself down and compares herself to the other members. However, she is highly praised for her stage presence, especially in comparison to her debut days.

── ✒️ About Aecha
Warnings: Depression, ED
At age 15, Aecha somehow convinced her dad to take her and her friends to Seoul to audition for several entertainment agencies. Unfortunately, the only company she was accepted by was MISSMUSE Entertainment. It was a much smaller company than she wanted to join, but in her mind, one acceptance was better than none, and the earlier she became a trainee, the greater chance she had to debut.
In 2014, MME put her in the GRLZ HIGH lineup along with 6 other members. Initially, this was great news, but after an additional 6 months of training, MME announced last minute that they would debut GRLZ HIGH without Aecha. This made her very depressed and obsessed with becoming 'the perfect idol'. In order to achieve this, she began training to unhealthy amounts and starving herself to be, all while keeping it secret from her parents in fear of being sent back home.
Finally, Aecha graduated in 2016 and was simultaneously added to a special group of trainees who were planning to be added to GRLZ HIGH after two of the members abruptly left the group. Though the situation kind of rubbed her the wrong way, she was excited to finally have another chance of debuting.
The eventual disbandment of GRLZ HIGH hit Aecha pretty hard, not only because she once again had lost her chance of debuting, but also because she realised that four of the people whom she looked up to as her older sisters had been horrible people all along. This was pretty much Aecha's last straw, and she came very close to quitting the entertainment industry for good. It was Aina who, through a very dramatic and tearful confrontation, convinced her to stay. Eventually, in late 2017- early 2018, she was put in the line-up for NOVELLA, and, although she tried not to get her hopes up, her debut was pretty much guaranteed.
For a long time after her debut, her eating disorder continued to be a big problem, with her self-worth being largely dependent on her weight. She would often hide in bathrooms after long concerts and tours to hide her exhaustion from the members. She still struggles with it to this day, but she has also started working out/playing sports as a healthier method of keeping fit.

She loves travelling/exploring.
She is a lyricist.
She dislikes skin-ship/fanservice and hates aegyo even more.
── ✒️ About Eunjeong
Warnings: N/A
Growing up in a wealthy patriarchal household meant that Eunjeong was expected to shut up and go along with everything her parents said. One of those things being piano lessons. At the time she found them extremely boring, but as she grew older and developed an interest in rap/K-Pop, she realised her piano could be used to write music.
She hid her music-loving side from her parents, who she expected to disown her once she made it known that she had no interest in working for the family business. However, her dad had never wanted a daughter anyway, so all she got was a 'good riddance' before he stopped speaking to her altogether.
In November 2017, Eun-Jeong auditioned at many idol companies and was accepted by almost all of them. She accepted the offer from MISSMUSE Entertainment because they told her she was guaranteed to debut within a year.
Eun-Jeong is definitely a hot topic on stan Twitter, and not for good reason. Many videos of her sitting at award shows have been overanalysed to make it seem like she hates certain idols. Her straightforwardness also doesn't help, which often comes across as catty and rude.

She likes to draw.
She has four (known) tattoos and she drew three of them.
She loves animals so much and has wanted a pet so badly since her childhood, but she's never been able to have one.
── ✒️ About Dambi
Warnings: Dysfunctional family, divorce, parental child abduction (?), infidelity
Growing up, Dambi's home life was turbulent, and her parents definitely should've divorced much earlier than they did. School up to the age of ten was pretty much hell, as she would miss weeks of school when her mum would take her and her siblings to hide in her grandparents' house. Their marriage finally ended after her dad got his mistress pregnant, signed the divorce papers, and disappeared with his new wife and son. Her mum got remarried 2 years later, and her dad had completely no contact with his three daughters for the next ~11 years.
To try and distract herself from her home life, Dambi was almost never home. Instead, she found hobbies and clubs to join, one of them being an independent dance group that she started taking herself to at around age 9. Eventually, dancing was no longer just an escape route, and it became a huge passion of hers. This made her become interested in music and K-pop. Simultaneously, Dambi began writing songs and poems about her struggles and home life.
In July 2016, she auditioned for an entertainment agency and made it in. Despite auditioning for rap, the company wanted to train her as a vocalist, so she took vocal classes for the 2 years she was there. In July 2018, Dam-Bi decided to leave the company as they had no plans to debut a girl group in the near future. From there, she joined SBE because they offered her a place in a new girl group that was set to debut in 4 months.
Dam-Bi often gets hate for being quiet at times, there are some very vocal ot6 fans because of her not being as funny as the other members.

She plays video games alongside Aecha and Aina.
She's a huge busybody, so she'll try new things totally on a whim.
The one member who is worryingly excited to do aegyo.
── ✒️ About Nari
Warnings: Parent death
Nari does not remember much about her father as he died shortly after the birth of her brother, so she was only 1 year old. After her dad died, Nari's family was very poor. Her mum was unable to work until Nari and her brother were old enough to go to daycare, and she had no family to help her out, so she could only do part-time work.
Unlike her brother, who is an extremely hard worker and now attends Seoul National University, Nari was an awful student. She was the definition of a class clown and would often be in trouble with senior staff. Instead of studying, she spent all of her time practising dance and singing to get a little closer to her dream of becoming an idol. However, Nari's mum was against this and told her to get a stable job instead.
In May 2016, Nari finally auditioned for an idol company and was accepted, but soon moved to a new company called A100 Entertainment. She made it to the end of the Neon Punch YouTube project and was announced to debut in May 2018. However, after their debut was delayed, she was kicked from the final lineup due to the company believing that she did not fit in with the group. This took a big hit to her confidence, but she didn't give up and was accepted into SBE soon after leaving A100.
Since debuting, Nari has often been dubbed as the annoying member, who is always doing too much. Certain ot6 stans have compiled and uploaded videos of the members being fed up with her, clearly trying to stir up drama.

── ✒️ About Aina
Warnings: Aina is disowned by her parents, depression, and grandparent death
From an early age, Aina was put in dance and piano lessons as her parents believed this would give her an edge when applying to prestigious universities. However, Aina never complained about it because she had always loved going. Eventually, she also became interested in making her own songs and convinced her parents to buy her a guitar at 12 years old. Later, at 13, she bought herself a music production software with gift money she had saved up.
At 13/14, her parents began to get worried about how much she enjoyed dancing, piano, and guitar, thinking it would take away her focus on her studies. They tried to withdraw her multiple times, but her grandfather had convinced them otherwise. Throughout middle school, Aina would constantly have arguments with her parents over her grades, her 'obsession' with dance/music, and her future plans.
In 2016, Aina was scouted by MISSMUSE Entertainment while at her dance academy. This was the first time Aina had told her parents about her dream of becoming an idol (though she had been plotting since 11), and obviously, her parents were having none of it. In the end, it was once again her grandfather who convinced them to let up. Her parents signed the contract and shipped her off to Korea, but not before telling her they would never support her music career and denying all attempts at contact.
Unfortunately, Aina's grandfather died just months before her first visit back to Japan, and she didn't even learn about his passing until after his funeral. To this day, Aina's first Japan tour is one of her worst memories. She became very depressed during this period and overworked herself despite the members showing concern and trying to push a hiatus.
NOW PLAYING ──
[▶] Clip 1: Scaredy cat line playing a horror game on a livestream, but Eunjeong and Sujin can't stop swearing.
They hadn't even played 5 minutes of the game, yet Aina was already cowering in the back of the webcam, passing the mouse over to Sujin instead. Once their character reached an ominous looking black door, Su-Jin abruptly paused.
“There is no way I'm going inside.”
“Come on guys, it isn't even that scary-” Eunjeong snatched the mouse from Su-Jin and opened the door. Suddenly, a loud scream emerged from the computer's speakers- “FU**”
The room instead filled with their silent laughter and wheezing as they tried to recover from the jumpscare. Meanwhile, the live chat struggled to keep up with the amount of ‘ㅋㅋㅋ’ and ‘jajaja’ being spammed.
Two more jumpscares and a lot more swearing later, a staff member came into the room and hurriedly told them to end the live.
A few days later, Aina went live again, this time alone in her studio.
“Did you get scolded?” She giggles while hiding her face in her hands, “yeah the unnies got scolded a lot by our manager… I think they might be banned from going live.”
[▶] Clip 8: Nari is worryingly competitive during the pepero game.
“Hey. don't pull away from me no matter what.” Nari gave Aina an 'ok' gesture with her hands as she placed the chocolate stick between her lips.
“Okay, whenever you're ready.” The MC spoke from behind Nari and Aina, watching closely to make sure there was no foul play.
Nari and Aina moved towards each other with sudden haste, causing the members to let out a chorus of shocked gasps. For just a moment, Aina hesitated and began to laugh, but Nari kept going, causing them to kiss abruptly before falling apart.
The entire studio erupted into chaos.
“What?! Did you just kiss??” Someone yelled.
Aina looked defeated, lying on the floor and clutching her stomach as she let out a painful laugh.
“Hey! So what!" Nari jumped up with the crumb in her hands and kissed Sujin on the cheek.
Amongst all of the pandemonium, the MC just stood there, confused, and in silence.
[▶] Clip 12 + 13: Dambi being a homosexual on ‘Bi-Live’.*
*Bi-Live is what she calls her live streams.
"Have you ever given white day chocolates? No, I went to an all girls school.” She kept reading through the live comments absentmindedly, “I got a lot of Valentines Day chocolates, though.”
“Which idol is most your type? Oh-” she doesn't even take 2 seconds to think before answering-“fromis_9 Jiheon, she's so pretty.” Dambi chose to politely ignore the ‘I meant a male idol’ comment that shortly followed.
[▶] Clip 15: Aecha being interrogated by Jonathan on theKstarnextdoor for her compulsive butt spanking habits.
“This next one is for Aecha Noona. K-Butt sniper-” Nari, Haeun, and Dambi instantly burst out laughing.
“Wow. I had a feeling this was gonna to be talked about.” Nari jested while smiling.
“Yeah, it really needs to be brought up more. It's becoming troublesome.” Dam-Bi added with a straight face.
“We have multiple pictures of you touching the members butts, is there a magnet or…? What do you have to say for yourself?” Jonathan held up a collage of at least 20 pictures.
Aecha giggled nervously, pupils shaking as she scanned the paper. “Um, how do I respond to this?-" The studio audibly laughs around her- “their butt's are very satisfying to squeeze, like a fidget toy you know?” Her hands were squeezing the air in a very, *questionable* way.
“Ok, that's nice, but can you please put your hands down? I don't want our show to be rated 19+.”

STORYBOOK ENTERTAINMENT ANNOUNCES FIRST BOY GROUP AND MINISERIES
Posted by OmniscientAuthor • January 15, 2024
After almost five years of NOVELLA being the company's sole K-pop act, Storybook Entertainment has finally announced a new boy group set to debut sometime during May this year. An announcement was officially made on the 15th of January, revealing not only the new group but also the accompanying predebut show, ‘PHANTASIE BOYS.’
(Picture above is an official promotional image posted by SBE)
Storybook Entertainment has been under pressure to release a statement since September 2023, when speculations surrounding a new girl group first spread in the media. However, the company shocked many netizens when announcing a boy group instead. This will be the first boy group under the label.
As for the mini series, the show will begin airing on the official Storybook Entertainment youtube channel every Friday from the 2nd of February 2024, but the end date is still undisclosed. The contents of the show have also yet to be revealed, but the company explicitly marketed it as a ‘reality show’ instead of a survival show in the official post.
In terms of the participants, many leaks and rumours of potential members have been spread online, one of the main victims being Kim Taejoon, an ex-child actor and model who vanished from the industry in 2021. The child star was spotted leaving the Storybook building on more than one occasion within the past year, however the sightings were initially written off as nonsensical claims. Now that the news has officially dropped, netizens are convinced he is part of the lineup.
Either way, it seems like NOVELLA is finally going to get the younger sibling group they have been patiently waiting for! Will the boys manage to be as successful as their older sisters? And is Storybook Entertainment hinting at even more growth in their near future?

The Neouivela Variety Show (2022 - PRESENT)
[▶] ep. 1 - 2 ── Storybook High
Each member was given a role to act out:
The episode begins with a skit of each member entering the classroom:
Aina is reading a book alone in an empty classroom with the lights turned off.
Next, Sujin is shown skipping to class while humming to herself, “I can't wait to see my new class, I wonder who I'll meet!” She opens the door and turns on the lights. Upon noticing Aina she jumps from shock. “Oh! Uh.. excuse me? Who are you?”
Aina eagerly jumps up from her seat and bows deeply. She accidentally slams her head on the desk which causes the whole set to burst out laughing. The scene replays at least 3 times before cutting away.
“Hello! I'm Hiramatsu Aina! Nice to meet you!”
“Oh… ok? I'm Sujin.” Sujin offers her a polite smile, albeit a bit awkwardly, while walking to her seat.
The first bell rings a moment later, indicating that class is about to start. The remaining members (bar Haeun and Dambi) all file into class, taking their respective seats.
As each member introduces themselves in character, cute, school-themed name cards pop up with their character traits and names.
Aecha arrives right as the second bell rings. She introduces herself as well and announces that today there will be competition for the title of class representative.
(Eunjeong: “I don't really want to be a class rep though?”)
Right after Aecha finishes explaining, Haeun waltzes into class while eating a baguette.
“What time do you think this is?” Aecha crosses her arms in faux anger.
Haeun seems unbothered. “I was hungry.”
Dambi closely follows behind, blazer slung over her shoulder, offering a simple nod as a greeting.
The games are as follows:
Math Class - sneaky eating challenge. The members must try to finish a Korean lunchbox while trying not to get caught by the teacher. The last one standing gets 5 points, the first to lose gets 0.
Aecha suddenly spins around from the chalkboard. “Hey! Min Sujin! Are you eating?”
Sujin sighs and slams her food on the table. “And what?”
“That’s not very in character??”
Social Studies Class - random team debates on unserious topics such as; one butt or two butts?; is a hotdog a sandwich?; and more. The teams were chosen randomly before each round, courtesy of rps. Aecha judges which team provides the most compelling argument. One point is given to each member on the winning team.
“Those who don't like mint chocolate should just die.” Aina seems to be the only one upset by her team losing the debate.
“That's not how this game works.”
Music Class - finish the lyrics. The girls are lined up at the back of the class and must run forward to the microphone to finish the lyrics. One point is given for both the song name and lyrics correctly guessed. Those who guess incorrectly are blasted with wind.
“Seriously, why do K-Pop idols use so much English nowadays, it's K-Pop, K-pop.” Eunjeong huffs.
“Don't be mad just because you didn't study hard enough.” Dambi teases.
Oh yeah, Dambi wins, which is kinda out of character as the delinquent.
"Uhh... I bet you weren't expecting this."
[▶] ep 13 - 14 ── Storybook Mafia
This time the episodes are set in an ‘abandoned’ shipping container warehouse.
The gift for the winning team was only a 30,000 won gift card but they took this game way too seriously.
Aecha, who is for some reason taking the mafia boss role, finally speaks up. “Those in favour of killing Nari?” Everyone raises their hands. “Ok-”
Nari lets out a guttural scream while falling to her knees.
Also, Aina was the game master and described each night sequence like it was a Shakespearean play.
“It was a dark and stormy night, Eunjeong strayed down a narrow alleyway, unsuspecting of the danger awaiting her further down the path-” She acts out each word with large and dramatic movements.
Sujin cuts her off, “Who died?”
Aina stares at her, offended. “…Excuse me?”
The mafias won (it was Nari and Dambi btw) and Haeun was in an uproar.
Haeun leaps up from her chair once the mafias are revealed. “Didn’t I tell you?! This team is useless!! I knew it was her from the beginning but you voted ME?! Why!?”
The civilian team was too stunned to speak.
[▶] ep 21-23 ── Storybook Haunted House
Half of these episodes were bleeped out because they kept swearing, and Eunjeong's idol image went to a place of no return, but! These are probably some of the best of the series.
So good, in fact, that it has become a recurring Halloween special on the show. Last year we also got 'Storybook Haunted Hospital'.
The girls- who had been locked inside of a haunted mansion- had to look for clues hidden in the house to find keys to unlock the hundreds there were like 10 of locks that hung on the big gate at the entrance.
However, along the way, there were actors cosplaying as ghosts that would chase and jump scare them. People who got tagged by the actors would have to be saved by other members, which caused many arguments.
“Unnie! If you keep getting caught I'm gonna just leave you there!” Aecha yelled while trying to fend off a bloody ghost.
There were also puzzles they had to solve but nvla collectively has one brain cell so Sujin was literally carrying.
“No, it should be the fourth box because two plus one is four.”
“…Are you stupid?”
[▶] ep 40-42 ── SBBG (Storybook Battlegrounds)
In this episode, the girls played irl PUBG (aka they shot each other with airsoft guns).
They were split into two teams, Team A (Aecha, Haeun, Dambi) and Team S (Sujin, Eunjeong, Nari, Aina).
“OK! Since we're the first team we'll be team A.” Haeun and her teammates laugh brightly at the other team's disgruntled looks.
“Then we'll be team S.” Nari cuts in sharply with a smug tone of voice.
The Velas are super competitive, even when there isn't a prize involved. Now hand them a bunch of guns and...
“Just run in and kill them all!”
a chorus of cheers erupts from the Team S base
Literally, none of the teams came up with a game plan, so it was pretty much just a messy free-for-all with everyone running around like headless chickens.
Team A won! And they did not hesitate to rub it in (especially to Nari, who is known to brag about her video game prowess).
“She plays Valorant all night and she can't even get a few points.”
“Platinum who? She must be hacking.”
A/N: I've been holding onto this since *checks notes* '0' October?!?! and I'm sick of looking at it so here
Oh, dear Aina. When will you learn? No one can determine the fate of others.
A/N: I saw this trend on TikTok first and realised it fits lore Aina pretty well (though i have never played or watched people play Undertale). procrastinated wayyy to much today so I'm just gonna post this immediately :)
NOVELLA’s Discography
IN THE BEGINNING-ERA
On the 31st of October 2018, NOVELLA debuted with a very average title track named FLY. At the time the song made no waves; the schoolgirl concept was unoriginal and outdated, but in hindsight, FLY was the start of NOVELLA’s lore and is now well-loved by many fans.
EUNOIA (19 March 2019) and Peekaboo (11 Sept 2019) had similar fates and did little to build the group's fame.
A FRESH START-ERA
After three flops that damaged SBE’s finances more than they’d like to imagine, NOVELLA went on a five-month-long hiatus. Zero Instagram posts, busking clips or Twitter updates from the girls have been recorded from this time- their 3 loyal fans really did think that NOVELLA had died.
Luckily though, in early Feb 2020, NOVELLA’s Instagram account was revived with a mysterious uncaptioned post. A simple black square with a QR code pasted on top led fans to a new YouTube account called User71311018. At the time the channel only had one video- Dear Diary #1: 모든 것의 시작*; this marks the point where NOVELLA’s lore *really* begins. Unfortunately, the video was not the dramatic serve SBE thought it would be and had very few views until the lore started gaining traction in the following year. Nevertheless, ‘Dear Diary’ videos would continue to be uploaded before every future NOVELLA comeback.
Their subsequent release HWAA (A Fire Flower) (2 March 2020) was NOVELLA’s first ‘hit’. I use the word ‘hit’ very lightly, as it just performed better relative to their other songs, which wasn’t really that high of a bar to beat. They gained a very small fanbase and for the first time, they actually had a crowd of fans that would attend their sidewalk fan meets and cheer for them on music shows.
Even though the fandom was small, SBE had big plans, and were already planning small tours. If they just had one more successful comeba-
COVID ALMOST WON-ERA
Once again, NOVELLA had to go on hiatus, this time for nearly seven months. However, NOVELLA actually managed to attract more fans during lockdown because the girls were always online. They were live on every platform (largely because they were teetering on the edge of disbandment and were trying to make the most of it while they could), and even did long-distance duo live streams using their JPN socials.
Against all odds, NOVELLA had another comeback on Oct 12th, 2020. They continued with the previously successful theme and, thanks to the girls’ successful self-marketing, the comeback broke many new records for the group. HANN (Just One Girl) grew their fanbase even more.
ONLY UP FROM HERE-ERA
Sweet Juice (15 Feb 2021) was NOVELLA’s actual big hit. I’m talking TikTok traction, MV Trending on YouTube- the song even charted (barely) on the Korean Charts! NOVELLA is undoubtedly more famous in the West than in Korea, but Sweet Juice was definitely a converter for many K-Authors.
Then came GHOST (4 June 2021), NOVELLA’s ‘Party City Halloween’-core comeback. The silliness of the MV along with the slightly ‘lighter’ sound put some people off of the track, hence it didn’t perform as well as Sweet Juice. If you got it you got it, if you didn’t you just didn’t.
NOVELLA ended the year with one last comeback, Surrender (25 Nov 2021). Again, there were some mixed opinions on the song, both within the group and amongst fans. Despite it being debated, it was still a record-breaker, and the MV is regarded as one of NOVELLA’s best.
WE MADE IT-ERA
ADDICTED (13 April 2022) was the song to finally put an end to all the ‘nugu-stan’ claims being used to torture Authors for the past four years. NOVELLA hit a new peak on the charts and just barely managed to get their first win.
By this point, NOVELLA was more than ready to go on their first real World Tour. The ‘CHAPTER 1: The World Must Know’ tour took NOVELLA to; Asia; Australia; NA; Europe; and even Latam. Before the second leg of the tour (aka, Latam and NA dates), NOVELLA had their ninth comeback with SCREAM (16 August 2022). The title was so EDM that it was divisive at first, but no one could deny that it was a hit (it easily managed to get three wins). Needless to say, non-American fans were bitter about not seeing SCREAM live.
WHORE FOR LORE-ERA
Since HWAA era, NOVELLA has been much more focused on their lore compared to when they just debuted. However, in 2023 SBE took their concept to new heights. Firstly, Abnormality dropped on May 8th and the girls finally managed to get them another three wins. Shortly after, SBE dropped a short film titled ‘The Whispers’ which was basically a horror short on bullying**. It went viral for the members’ acting, and was (partially) one of the reasons why Sujin made her actress debut the following year.
After that, Every Rose (1 Nov 2023) also went viral (in a half bad half good way) for its ‘misandrist’ themes. Due to some boycotting and non-fans voting for the opposition, NOVELLA only got one win this era. All good though, it was about time for their first real fandom cleanse.
(Oh yeah, they also had another mini tour somewhere in the middle.)
PRESENT DAY-ERA
In 2024, NOVELLA has had one release so far and are currently on their second world tour, ‘Chapter 2: Six Tapes’. Girls (released May 1st) got them four wins and was very loved- by pretty much everyone, actually.
Although many Authors are content with NOVELLA's dark sound and concept, the lack of solo songs (osts don't count) and full-length albums have recently been the talk of the town. Hopefully, SBE takes the hint and drops another full length album soon...
NOTES (I used Google Translate for the translations so if it's wrong 🤷♀️):
*Dear Diary #1: 모든 것의 시작 = Dear Diary #1: The Start of It All
**I’m purposefully being vague here bc I might make a separate post for lore content / special videos
the things i did to get to get this vid under 500mb...
At 15
‘i told you i gained weight, you told me i looked alive.’
FEATURING: Choi Aecha + other nvla members are mentioned
DATE: we time skip from 2013 (age 15) to 2020 (age 21) to present day (age 25)
A/N: the header i had to make vs the header God intended for me to use
!!!: eating disorder, idk if it counts as abuse or assault but she gets hit, seizure but she doesn't have epilepsy it's just a consequence of her ed, hospitalisation
At 15, Aecha learnt about hunger.
It was a carving, aching pain. The feeling of smooth muscle eating itself because there was nothing else to digest. Nausea pulling up in your throat, but never resulting in anything because there wasn't anything. It was staying up till the next morning because there's no way to fall asleep when your brain and body are screaming at you to just eat.
“Goodness, I can barely focus on what you’re doing. All I can see are these.” The dance teacher roughly grabs her thigh and hits it mockingly. “How can you even stand here like this?”
Aecha bows her head and mutters an apology. She can feel everyone's eyes on her. Her seniors. Her peers.
“Listen. By next week you better lose some weight. Otherwise, I’m not teaching you.” She scoffs and turns to walk out. “I can’t fucking work with these kids.”
She didn't eat for the rest of the day, and once she did she threw it all back up.
At 21, Aecha learnt about anger.
She’d been angry before, but never like this. It felt like she was burning under the white fluorescent lights and diagnostic stares. She lashed out at everyone who looked at her with that same pitiful look that made her want to crawl out of her own skin.
Who was she even angry at? Dambi, for saving her life? Or herself for not hiding it as well as she thought she had? She’s pretty sure she screamed at both of them.
“You were fucking convulsing on the floor, Aecha! What the hell did you want me to do?!”
“You should’ve just- left me there! I wasn’t going to die!-”
“You are dying!”
Aecha can’t remember her response, but she remembers the tears.
At 25 Aecha learns how to be full, and how to enjoy it.
Before 25, Aecha felt like being full was a chore. Eating three meals a day felt like a more excruciating version of brushing your teeth before bed. Something no one really enjoys but everyone has to do. She didn’t understand the joy Sujin felt when eating Haeun’s home-cooked meals. They were good, yes, but the pit in her stomach that got heavier after every bite far outweighed the pleasant taste.
It took her a while- even after she technically 'recovered'- to remember what full truly feels like.
It’s the feeling she gets when she’s eating with six of her closest friends. The feeling she gets when she and Sujin trade bites because they both order different food to share. The feeling she gets when Haeun wordlessly drops off a new recipe for her to try and doesn't smile until Aecha goes, ‘Mmm, delicious’.
“Try this! I added vinegar this time.”
“Do you want to try that new restaurant? Everyone’s saying the steak’s pretty good.”
“Once we get to Japan we have to eat sushi again, I’m craving it so bad.”
Aecha didn’t even know she regained the ability to crave food until she said it out loud.
“Of course. I’ll eat anything with you.”
A/A/N: i originally scrapped this bc i tried a different writing style? kinda? and I’m not sure if the short sentences are overdoing it but instead of being self-deprecating and ruining the vibe, I am just going to say that it was fun to write and that's all that matters 👍
did i cross the line? ── Kim Dambi x ?
A/N: we are slowly coming back! this idea has been plaguing my mind for days and after i was woken up by a fire alarm at 6:30 (😐) i just knew i had to execute. also idk how to lay this out so blughj
