Took this the other day, liked the outcome.
Turn your volume up a little, calming rain, beating down. Yesterday was quite rainy 🌧 😌, so I thought to capture the calming sounds that nature provided.
The calming feeling I get whilst painting and listening to music is so DISJAJSH. It is yet to be beat
Piece of peace ..
life like everything is a balance of both good and bad stuff.. I'm not special, that is why my life's too pretty much a balance between good and bad.. one thing I kinda realised about good stuff is (or the stuff that makes me happy or content is) they don't have to be grandiose.. A lil reminder of good memories or an old song I've written last summer or sometimes just a cool breeze would brighten up my mood.. whereas the bad stuff they're intense, some stubborn reasons hanging on to my mind making me numb, my mind freezes at a time stamp while the time as always goes on.. I feel stuck, anxious, idk what to do, I feel like I'm being wasteful.. this little observation made me realise that when I'm happy I'm not even overly happy, I'm not overwhelmed I'm just content or at peace, resting both my body and mind, and I don't even need a particular reason to be.. while being sad, I suffer a lot, it needs a reason and it haunts me for days due to that one single reason.. so the moral of the story is .. happiness is easy to be found, while the darkness you're stuck in, is actually hard to attain, so why don't you happily ignore your terrors and be at peace by simply breathing or by simply existing and savoring the moment.. u have many reasons to be happy or peaceful but u chose to pick that one single reason to be sad.. rethink.. reconsider your choices.. and rejoice your life..
(p.s. being sad as a whole is not a bad concept.. nobody's being happy all the times.. I'm talking bout the kind of sadness which is worn out but we still stubbornly stick to it and get stuck in it.. a lil deep breaths would really help to get out of that brain fog, if not totally, it helps to start at the least!)

The Power of Chanting: Unveiling the Ancient Practice Shaina Tranquilino April 8, 2024
In a world filled with constant noise and distractions, finding moments of peace and tranquility can seem like an elusive dream. However, nestled within the annals of ancient traditions lies a practice that has endured through the ages, offering a pathway to inner harmony and spiritual connection: chanting.
Chanting, the rhythmic repetition of sounds, words, or phrases, has been an integral part of various spiritual and cultural practices for millennia. From the Sanskrit chants of Hinduism and Buddhism to the Gregorian chants of Christianity and the mantras of meditation, chanting manifests in diverse forms across different cultures and religions. Despite these variations, the underlying essence remains consistent – the invocation of sacred vibrations to elevate consciousness and foster a deeper connection with the divine.
At its core, chanting serves as a powerful tool for mindfulness and meditation. The rhythmic repetition of sounds serves to anchor the mind, allowing practitioners to transcend the incessant chatter of thoughts and emotions and enter a state of heightened awareness. As one becomes immersed in the rhythmic cadence of the chant, a sense of inner calm begins to permeate the being, paving the way for profound moments of stillness and introspection.
Moreover, chanting has been scientifically shown to have a myriad of physiological and psychological benefits. Studies have demonstrated that the act of chanting can induce a relaxation response in the body, lowering heart rate, blood pressure, and levels of stress hormones such as cortisol. Furthermore, chanting has been linked to enhanced mood, increased focus, and improved cognitive function, making it a valuable tool for promoting overall well-being.
Beyond its individual benefits, chanting also has the power to foster a sense of unity and community. Whether practiced in solitary meditation or as part of a group ceremony, chanting has a unique ability to dissolve barriers and unite individuals in a shared experience of transcendence. In chanting together, participants synchronize their breath and energy, creating a collective resonance that transcends individual boundaries and fosters a sense of oneness with the universe.
In addition to its spiritual and therapeutic qualities, chanting also holds a profound symbolic significance. Across cultures, chants often serve as vehicles for transmitting sacred teachings, myths, and cultural heritage from generation to generation. Through the repetition of sacred texts and mantras, practitioners not only honour ancient traditions but also tap into the wisdom and insights of their ancestors, creating a timeless continuum of spiritual knowledge and understanding.
In today's fast-paced world, the ancient practice of chanting offers a sanctuary of stillness amidst the chaos. Whether seeking inner peace, spiritual connection, or simply a respite from the noise of modern life, chanting beckons us to journey inward and discover the boundless depths of our own being. So, the next time you find yourself overwhelmed by the stresses of life, take a moment to close your eyes, breathe deeply, and immerse yourself in the timeless rhythm of chanting – you may just find the peace and clarity you've been searching for all along.
