ifl the kwamis actually do really value and need to be with one another to an extent, especially like, tikki and plagg? and that they prefer being with like. their guardian. and would likely feel so even when getting assigned permanent holders eventually? despite being the age of millennia it does seem that marinette is viewed almost like a parent, and again it seems tikki and plagg have special status and need each other more than the others. yin always clings to yang etc. and also they get to sleep next to marinette whilst the others are on another side of the room. and there’s just that special level of intimacy i think plagg wishes he never had to go without yknow. like he really wishes adrienette lived together just so he could always hang out with tikki and sleep next to all the people he cares about again
okay, I'm curious and I wanna take my mind off... things.
The London special did so much for Marinette’s character and I think a lot of people are just ignoring it due to them being disapproving of her decision to lie to Adrien.
But like that’s the point.
I don’t think there’s a single moment in the special that frames Marinette’s decision as a good thing, instead it is presented as a choice that Marinette isn’t confident in but ultimately makes due to a fear of the consequences of the alternative option.
When asked, Bunnix, who knows the full outcome of this decision, doesn’t tell Marinette whether what she did was the right thing to do, only that the important part is how she “owns up” to her decision and how she acts from here.
While Nathalie and Kagami, the only other characters we see react to her plan, actively disagree with Marinette’s choice but follow it regardless because it is Ladybug’s choice to make.
Only she has the position to make this choice.
It is a burden she chooses to put upon herself because more than anything she wants to protect Adrien. Because Marinette, at 14 years old thrust into an incredibly complex emotional situation, does not know what the right decision is and can only hope she makes the right choice. So she follows her heart and sacrifices her mental state in an attempt to save Adrien’s in anyway she can.
And It breaks her… You can see it in her eyes and hear it in her voice. It’s haunting. She hates this decision more than anyone else possibly could, she can hardly bring herself to tell Adrien her lie and yet she still does. It adds so much depth and weight to her character and her actions. It makes her interesting.
am I the only one who can't watch Miraculous the same way anymore after the London special? like I can't even think about Miraculous without feeling a wave of sadness hit me in the face.
I was trying to watch Origins, then re-watch the whole show, just to enjoy the old animation one last time. but I just couldn't.
all I saw was Marinette's numb expression as she walked through the hallway. Adrien's cries as he grieved his father. Gabriel's wish ruining everything.
it's not the same anymore, and it never will. that's how I know they nailed it with this special.
when I got to the part when Marinette renounced Tikki, all I could think about was that current timeline!Marinette would be there to fetch the earrings, and that Tikki knew everything from the start. and whenever Adrien was on screen, I thought about how sad he would become soon. he still had that sassy humor and all, but it disappeared over time. I had forgotten how snarky he used to be...
I am both excited and terrified of the upcoming season. let's hope it's a good one.
bdnfhgkdhf marinette feeling guilty because everytime they kiss or hold hands he doesn’t know she knows everything :(( adrien noticing and wondering if he did something wrong
this special gave me carpal tunnel + it’d be funny if he thought it was his kissing skills and just kept buying different types of chapstick
shhh...

SPOILER!
New art ispired from the London Special!
I just want to talk about the pacing of the Ladynoir scene because I think it is so well done.
there is no music playing at first, and it's quiet, all we hear is Chat Noir arriving, and his baton expanding and reacting.
It's dark and gloomy
both Ladybug and Chat Noir are turned away from the camera, Chat is facing Ladybug, but unknown if he's looking at her, or if he's looking away or down.
Chat struggles to get the words out, his voice hitching, his hand balling into a fist
that little pat Ladybug gives inviting Chat to sit down next to her. She doesn't say anything.
Chat goes over to sit with her and the camera pans down so all we see is their feet hanging over the edge of the building their sitting on. At this moment a soft and sad piano melody begins to play.
Camera pans back up, both are still facing away from the camera and Chat asks his question.
Ladybug answers, and then camera pans down back to their feet before finally turning toward their faces.
As Ladybug speaks you can see that the sunlight is trying to peak through the clouds, but it's not a warm glow, and it's still mostly dark and cloudy.
As they continue to talk, the music starts to pick up
The music swells when they hug.
As they lean on each other their is the dark clouds ahead of them, but the clouds starting to part above them.
So yea, I think it was one in part setting up something for the following season, that things may get rough for them. And also their little way of saying goodbye to the old animation and the story arch that we all experienced, loved (and sometimes hated), and welcoming in the new. So I thought it was a fantastic scene. It was slow, letting us feel the emotions that both Ladybug and Chat Noir were feeling, but neither could really tell each other everything they wanted. One of the best Ladynoir scenes, next to the one in Strike Back.
I feel like Ladybug here, was really, really close to telling Chat Noir what happened, and wanted to tell the truth, but couldn't because of her guilt. Marinette genuinely hates that she's lying about this, but feels to far deep into it. Really interested to see if and how this will play out in the coming season.
While this also just may be because of time constraints, I noticed that we don't get a Plagg and Adrien reunion scene.
Plagg also knows what really happened, and I can't help but feel that Adrien will feel more betrayal from Plagg lying to him, than Ladybug.
One of my favorite specials, just behind the Paris Special. I just love the emo-goths too much. It will just be interesting to see if this special actually plays a part in the coming season. Because all the other ones don't affect the main story much, if at all, besides introducing new characters.
Okay I'm done rambling on.
by the way guys, when you repost my posts with hashtags saying stuff, comment things under my posts, whatnot i see it everytime, i look at every single one and i love it, say things about my art or words, this is my life

my feelings during the London special, a summary:
oh my god.
WHAT?
hUH?
No- what?
GIRL DON'T-
WHAT?!
NO!!!!!
oh....
WHAAAAAAAA😭
So it's confirmed without a shadow of a doubt.
Felix did nothing to help Adrien and Kagami while trapped in that prison their parents trapped them in. Not lifting a finger to aid Marinette, beyond a trauma dump and a vague point in the right direction.
He used and abused Marinette's love for Adrien to get what he wanted just like Gabriel. Using Kagami, who is blinded by love as a tool in the process, just like Gabriel did to Nathalie.
You see why I don't buy his redemption?
pin for all my fellow paranoia havers that are so brave and strong every night walking to the kitchen
"see, girl? we did it. we always will."
Less art of Mabel forgiving Bill first of the whole family. More of her being the last, if ever. More of her eating him like a corn chip.
like... these two getting married and growing old together...?
I'm gonna cry
thinking about them after the trailer
y'all send my girl marinette your thoughts and prayers 😔🙏
imagine gravity falls where everything is the same but dipper and mabel have aggressive californian accents
