Playing the new quest was a mistake because all I wanna do is run my mouth to the freaking moon by my friends are taking their sweet time.
This quest was such a a rollercoaster and I don't care what anyone says I like it. Even if I almost cried several times and ended with a headache and a heartache.
Do y'all....hear something?
Sounds like Sanji's character is bouta go through more development and I am not happy about it.
Like I can feel it in my bones. A Strom is on the horizon and I'm not prepared.
Y'all get your umbrellas.
Spoilers for Black Butler chapter 137
Y'all I am not okay. How could I ever be happy after this. Oh my God it's even worse than I remember. It's so painful listening to him say things like this and the everything that happened afterwards and I just-
O!Ciel.... you're so much stronger than you think.
Man the anime did him so dirty. Making him seem so much more like a brat than he actually is. I'm just so upsetti rn. Because then you remember how old he is and it just gets so much worse.
Man I just need someone to appreciate his character with me because oh my god.
Mild spoilers for the manga up to this point and I'm too lazy to deeply proof read.
Ciel Phantomhive is all I can think about so here's my thoughts
He's 13. He's a 13 year old kid surrounded by death and dispare. It honestly haunts me how young he is. Like I have siblings that age so when people go on about how anyone he is, what would you expect? This a kid that's pretending to be an adult. He lost his family at 10; he kidnapped, violated, and enslaved at 10; he watched his brother die in front of him at 10; and all people can say is that he's annoying. He's traumatized and a teenager. I'm surprised he's still going.
I cannot stop thinking about how lonely he must be. He's right hand is a demon. His servants are all people who have lost something or had nothing. No one there is capable of having normal conversations or social behavior (besides maybe Tanaka). I don't think he could ever just be 13 and it's kinda upsetting.
Everytime I read about someone close to him dying and the way he just moves on? I know he sad but dang does it hit hard. He doesn't know how to grieve and probably no one will ever teach him how.
He's really alone. Everyone tries, but no one is ever allowed close enough. I think he does it out a fear or as a defense mechanism. It's so much harder to feel loss if there's no one close in the first place. Thinking about Agni and Soma and how it ended and how he was like "This is why I told you not to get involved with me". So he knows he's bad news. Then there's the fact he's pretending to be his twin.
So he surrounded by people who love him because they think he's someone else. He also knows he's the "spare." Which fueled his decision.
He also definitely has self depreciating tendencies as show in the manga. When he has his break downs, we get a peak of just how terrible his mental state is. Sebastian doesn't help either so this man is really going in no actual support system.
His life is on a counter. Once the contract he has with Sebastian is fulfilled, that's it. Even if somehow he doesn't die, what would that do for him? Does he even have a will to live outside this? No matter what happens there will be no real happy ending for our Ciel Phantomhive. His story will always be a tragedy.
I'm being haunted by my thoughts of Ciel Phantomhive. This character makes me so upset oh my god. He mentioned he was 13 once. Once. Then reality hit me so hard I haven't been able to think of anything else.
He's such a tragic character and now I'm upset.
No because how is Hoyoverse gonna make twins that have no synergy.
Like- we didn't need their kits to be paired together, but the fact that they really shouldn't be used on the same team? Unforgivable.
It coulda been something so general like boosting a stat that Lyney uses or something like that. Nope! Absolutely nothing.
Aether and Lumine even have this cute little animation easter egg where they help each other's blind spots. I love it so much.
Lyney and Lynette have matching names, look similar, and then have totally different kits.
It makes me so sad. They're like twins in looks and lore but not in kits.
If you look at most of the siblings, they at least somewhat work together. Even Kaveh and Alhaitham are more connected and they're just roommates.
So you're telling me the twins who spend every moment they can together (Because Lyney is a codependent weenie at heart) don't have complimenting kits?
It annoys me even more because things like that can be such a good story telling device. Things like abilities and kits can to easily help establish the relationships between people outside of their lore. It was a major missed opportunity to establish just how close the twins are.
I'ma use them on the same team along with the rest of the House of Hearth but dang the lack of synergy is amazing.
Itty bitty spoilers: Character interactions in 4.2 Archon quest.
I just started the Archon quest after finally having the time to wait for that giant download-
Anyways
I love Arlecchino and the subtle was she seems to care.
Like where hear all this stuff about her and you actually meet her and you're like “Wow...” and then you hear her about the children?
Like she goes from terrifying to parent.
She goes from “There are people that will die, Furina” to “Oh, thanks for helping mah kiddos. I appreciate as their ‘father’”
Traveler is wondering why she trust them and she's just like “Well, the children think you're family”
She's complex moral wise but damn do I really like her.
She's kinda just different. Sassy, a little unhinged, but very grounded in the way she cares for her children.
Definitely my favorite harbinger.
I have been sent to the corner 😅
My friend doesn't want to hear about my headcannons so time to harass the Internet~
Hear me out: Genshin Daycare. Aka...Everyone but the Archons (plus Nevulliette) as little children.
Ugh it's gonna rot my brain if I don't talk about it...To the drafts!
I can't stop thinking about the fact that Lyney has so much cannon angst and treads to write more and we just do nothing about it. He canonically has had an identity crisis, an anxiety attack, and show cased his codependent relationship with his sister and we do nothing with it.
I have consumed every bit of Lyney angst I could find and now I'm suffering.
This is a cry for help
I don't wanna have to write my own 😭
Courtroom Headcannons
SPOILER ALERT: GENSHIN 4.0 ARCHON QUEST
(Technically, I'm pretty vague about it.)
AN: I've been working on this entirely too long-
Status: Unedited
Headcannons of the reactions during 4.0 and after the trial.
The initial reaction
Lyney: Stressed out of his mind. He's freaking out and feels super guilty. He thought the trick was safe and his mind could only think about how it could have been Lynette. The sounds and sights are burned into his mind.
Lynette: Her tail immediately puffed up and she was startled. It took all of her effort to stayed in character. She's also stressed as an accident happening at a show doesn't mean anything good for their reputation.
Revealing the trick
Lyney: Would honestly rather cut if his hand or die before he'd reveal one of his tricks. They're all his sacred brain babies and a product of his creation. He never wants anyone to know such details. If it weren't for Lynette telling him to, he probably wouldn't have cooperated. Then again, he'd prefer if people knew nothing about him in general.
Lynette: Contemplated pretending to be a puppet. She was honestly surprised that they were being tried for a case that they were even old enough to ask on when it initially started but she wasn't going to say anything. She just wished Lyney would cooperate so it would go fast but that was just the way he is and she doesn't blame him.
Detainment
Lyney: He spiraled hard. Initial they'd put them in different rooms but he'd manage to convince the guards they needed to be together. Even then, Lyney struggled to stay present. He knew he wasn't a serial killer, but he felt so guilty. All the bad habits he suppressed we on full display. He should have known better and it was his show, so it was his fault. No matter how he looked at it, he should have known better.
Lynette: Agitated. Not only where they framed and it caused someone's death, but they were being tried over a bogus claim. She was tired it was a performance day and she normal spent the time after relaxing and here she was being watched constantly. It put her a little on edge, but her main concern was her currently pacing twin. She'd tried to get him to calm down but nothing seemed to work. At some point she had to physically intervene to prevent him from hurting himself on accident from clenching his fist to hard. Even now, some older anxious habits were showing.
Trial
Lyney: He was an internal mess. He didn't want to be in the court room in the slightest. In fact, he never wanted to go there ever again. He could feel all of their eyes and the way they look at him makes him feel dirty. He tries to distract himself with the case and making sure nothing happens to Lynette.
Lynette: She wanted to go home and take a nice nap in her nice bed and have the fastest slice of cake she could possibly have. She wants nothing more than to enter standby mode and space tf out. She didn't because she needed to watch her brother and pay attention to what they're saying but it's tempting. The people are giving her the ick and this entire situation is just absurd.
Confession
Lyney: He's so stressed, man is barley keeping it together. One of his closest guarded secrets just revealed in court to be used against him. What made it worse, is everyone believed that because he was Fatui, he was automatically guilty. Internally he's pacing up a storm but he makes sure to keep this mask up. What the Traveler said only made him feel worse. He said awful things about himself, but when other's said it just hurt way worse. He couldn't stop thinking about what he would do if the Traveler decided to leave. He was determined to not drag Lynette down with him.
Lynette: Didn't really want to be there. People aren't her thing, she good at sneaking around and listening. Talking in slightly emotionally charged situations? Not unless she has to. She did feel a little bad for not tell them earlier but in her defense when would she have time to say something.
Acquittal
Lyney: He's relieved that he's not going to the Fortress of Meropide but the damage is done. Cowell, no matter how awful he secretly was, is still dead by his prop at his performance. No matter how he looked at it, it was his responsibility for him to go through and make sure any assistance were reliable people. If it slipped past him, it meant that things weren't as safe as his thought. An agent of someone else's manage to infiltrated his staff and almost got away with a crime under his nose. What was stopping the victim from being Lynette? Absolutely nothing but dumb luck. They could have really hit him where it hurts and if he wasn't careful, someone else could in the future.
Lynette: She was relieved that she can go home. This was too much peopling for her today. Listening to people talk bad about her and believe the shoddy reasoning if the Archon only annoyed her. It was just the way it was, but she could still be mad about it. The whole thing was an unpleasant reminder that they needed to be more careful but she couldn't fix it now, it was over.
Afterwards
Lyney: His confidence has been destroyed. Cowell was closer to him, so his feelings of safety have been destroyed. His self image was in shambles. He's closed up more emotionally then he was originally. He's absolutely shaken up but pretends everything is fine. Mentally, it's done nothing good for him. His paranoia is through the roof.
Lynette: Concerned. On her end, she was just glad it was over and she could finally go home and recharged. She needed sometime to do things she enjoys and process her emotions. However, he brother simply went to pretending like it'd had never happened despite how much it was effecting him. She could physically see the effects but he refused to talk about it.
Lyney Headcannons
Lyney Character Analysis
Lyney Headcannons
Okay- headcannon time~ This is really just an excuse for me to write angst about him. He just had so much free real estate. I feel like if I don't talk about this somewhere that I'm going to explode.
1. Lyney doesn't talk about his problems because he feels he hasn't suffered enough too.
He just seems like the type of person to be super empathetic towards everyone but himself. When his siblings have something bad happen to them, they don't deserve it. When something bad happens to him? He should have done better, it's all his fault, it's what he should have expected. They should feel free to talk about their pain whenever they're ready. He thinks that compared to his siblings, he's just hasn't had it bad enough to talk about it.
2. Lyney doesn't remember how to talk to people authentically.
I like to think with how much he tends to put on a front he doesn't know how to properly talk to people. He's so good at playing the part that there is not such thing as a normal conversation without all the bravado and sugary words.
3. Lyney refused to eat unless he knows Lynette has.
It was a habit he developed while they were living in the street, but since he was so young it kinda just stayed with age. In fact, he gets incredibly anxious if he ever gets food without knowing of Lynette has had anything. Unless he sees her eat, he'll adamantly refuse food.
4. Lyney is the quiet anxiety type.
He holds all of his emotions in and has had several anxiety attacks in public. If it's just him and Lynette, he'll start pacing and occasionally he'll follow his anxious trian of thought. He's prone to harm scratch at his skin or pull his hair so they keep his nails short.
5. Lyney has a dissociation problem.
The habit was worse when he was younger, especially when they were under the abusive nobel. He would just space out if he wasn't actively performing or Lynette wasn't there. He'd either spiral or his mind would be absolutely blank. Occasionally, he'll slip from reality, especially when Lynette isn't around to keep him grounded.
6. Lyney has cat-like eyes.
I literally cannot explain it. It's just what he inherited and I will stand by it for the rest of my life. It's especially prominent in the sun. He's got slits instead of the round pupils and when they lived on the streets people wouldn't look him in the eyes because they thought he was creepy.
7. Lyney was locked in a closet as a kid but he has no memory of it.
My brain came up with this and I can't even explain it. Under the abusive nobel, there was an incident that resulted in him spending the night in a closet, neither twin really remembers it. Lyney was dissociated the whole time and the dark doesn't help. It's remember on a subconscious level but Lyney's just ignores it until he can't anymore.
8. Lyney does card tricks when he's nervous
When he's nervous and alone, he'll pace back and fourth and do card tricks to try and calm him down. They're like his fidget and it was an idea that Lynette came up with instead of him putting his hands in his hair. When around other people, he does the tricks but doesn't let his nervousness show on his face.

Lyney's Character Analysis
Courtroom Headcannons
Edited: Links
Edit: So I figured out how to change text color :D
So I was combing though the Twins voicelines and story again because they're one my mind 24/7 and I've noticed some things. So now I have part of an analyst. This is actually a series of headcannons too because of I don't share my mind will explode.
1. Lyney only answers your questions half the time.
When looking through the interactions and voicelines, I noticed that for certain questions he won't answer and instead will just distract the Traveler or answers it in a roundabout way. I guess it's because he doesn't want you to know about it or it makes him uncomfortable to talk about. He doesn't really lie, but he doesn't answer either. He doesn't like to give information about himself unless absolutely necessary.
2. Lyney has a tendency to say some weird things.
Lyney says nothing about it, but Lynette has an idle line about it. What type of strange is unknown, but Lynette is worried about what he says. It also seems to be a pretty normal occurrence.
3. Lyney's chattiness is a front.
This one is actually talked about by both the twins. Lynette says that he's just more quiet when they're alone and Lyney says that he only uses "verbal" magic to get closer to other people. I have more to say about this but I'll wait until my headcannons.
4. Lyney isn't his happy or cheery as he initially seems.
This one is confirmed in his voicelines and story quest. He explicitly says that he believes Traveler would feel sorry for him if they knew his real personality. Then at the end of his story quest when you talk to him. He's a lot more subdued than he had been for most of the quest. He also says some questionable things and it leads to my next point.
5. Lyney doesn't really have friends.
He actually admits this himself at the end of his story quest with the empty auditorium analogy. He comments how the way he acts only pushes people away and after Cesar he doesn't really have anyone beyond family left.
6. Lyney hates how he lies.
In his character story quest and his actual Character story in part 4, he mentions how much is lying bothers him. It's practically effortless but by this point it comes so easy that it gives him an identity crisis. Lyney has lied so much and played the part so often, he isn't sure what his actual personality is anymore.
Note: I realized I have way more to say than I anticipated so now this is gonna be a series of posts.
Lyney Headcannons
Courtroom Headcannons
Nothing is stranger than the fact we actively know that Lyney's stability is tied to his sister. The more I look at his character and the moments where he breaks more, it's makes me realize that he's not as stable as I gave credit for?
Like, that moment in the fortress when he attacked Wriothesley plus moments in his voicelines about delusions points to the idea that he doesn't value his life. He's so willing to throw away his life for his siblings that if he'd make himself miserable to keep them out of what he perceives as danger.
When with his sister, he's a great planner and an excellent manipulator. On his own, he's a lot more reckless and what keeps his anxiety in check is the fact he normally knows exactly what his sister is doing.
When he doesn't, all hell breaks loose. He tends to give in to his anxious thoughts especially when there's anything that validates them.
Then entire Archon quest is just like: Lyney...deep breaths, I'm begging you.
He's just constantly on my mind so I'm subjecting the world to my takes on his questionable behavior. If you don't agree, it's technically a headcannon. 🤷🏿
4.1 Spoilers ahead 💜
I was so surprised to see Lyney- in prison that I screamed at 12 AM 💀
At the same time l I was pissed because BRO ALL OF THAT WORK FOR YOU TO SHOW UP HERE ANYWAYS- I was mad a him for a solid minute.
Also, this poor kid. He's so stressed right now. I knew he had anxiety but Jesus dude.
I love how instead of actually watching all of TYBW arc, I just watch the Hitsugaya scenes. Like did I skip through episode 22 for his 2 seconds of screen time? Yes. Yes I did.
Have I seen episode 23 four times? Yes.
Are my friends incredibly tired of hearing about Toshiro? Maybe.
I care?
NOPE! BACK ON MY BS BBY!
This stupid funky little magicman has taken my thoughts hostage. What the hell- I'm just constantly thinking about him. He's got so much angst potential.
Lynette is also there. Just being her amazing and cool and Iive for it.
I've been here for a year??? What??? How??? I've posted absolutely nothing.
Ao3 is down??? Wtf am I supposed to do with my life? Be productive? HA- Good Joke.
OH HECK YEAH.
Gojo is back and most definitely mad. Everything is totally going to go up in flames, wigs will be snatched, people will be on tears. I'm ready.
BRING IT ON GOJO SATORU IT'S BEEN A LONG TIME COMING.
I cannot take Scaramouche seriously. Like I love him, but he's so goofy. He's like intimidating someone and I'm in the background waving a sign that says "Go you tiny man filled with rage."
Please, he's just to cute :(
I love this man....

he was in the seventh heaven the second your answer loads inside his head. it feels like a dream come true playing right before his very eyes. you, in earnest, agreed to his request of braiding his hair. he knew you would almost always move away from his cheeky displays of affections, therefore, this was a giant achievement to him.
“are you okay there, venti?” you wave a hand across his face left then right. honestly speaking, his silence causes shivers down your spine… it was never a good sign.
he blinks once, twice until he was fully out of his trance-like state. his lips curve into a coy smile, as he tells you, “he, he. it’s nothing you should worry your pretty head, darling; ‘just deep in thought is all.”
you eye him skeptically, you didn’t buy it. however, you ease off after you figured he had no intention of confiding a word to you.
“if you say so…”
excitement cannot describe the gamble of emotions he felt. if he had a tail like the hybrid citizens, it would’ve been wagging along throughout the whole ordeal. his avidity was staggering to witness in real time. he had the stubbornness of a mule and you frequently needed to pester him to move.
it all happens in the blink of an eye. he stands up to grab his brush from his bathroom then sits down in front of you with his hair down, bangs perfectly framing his face. he didn’t waste a moment to steer your hands to start working on his messy locks.
he hums a random tune to himself to keep him occupied as you part the side of his bangs into three sections.
what would typically cost him five to six minutes of his time took you nearing sixteen. admittedly, when he did his hair at the early break of dawn, it was braided haphazardly. you, on the other hand, wanted it to at least look neat.
“are you done yet?”
“um… not quite…” you mumble, as you comb the rest of his bangs on the other side.
the couple minutes of braiding you’ve just done will take as long as a whole go-round from there, so you think. he huffs at you as if he weren’t an almighty archon but the common rascal and hums another soft tune to keep himself company. as you reach halfway, your hand shakes from the concentration it exerted while you work.
alas, it was a matter of time before his boredom won and he did what he can to humor it in the meantime—you only wish he didn’t do it to the detriment of your progress by closing his eyes then leaning in with his lips pursed, ready for a kiss.
“stay still!” you giggle, trying to dodge his attempts to place a chaste peck on your lips. your words falls on deaf ears and he connects his lips with yours, emitting a pleased sigh.
𝘀𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗼𝘂𝗰𝗵𝗲 [𝗯𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗲𝗿]
he feels pathetic for crawling into your window during these late hours into the evening. he swears under his breath; if passersby were to catch sight of him, they’d believe he was another hormonal village juvenile, desperate to see his lover in absence of parental authority. swinging his other leg over the ledge, he steps into your room with the grace of a feline.
a corner of his mouth lifts when he spots you flinch from his unexpected visit. based on what he had observed, you were in the middle of preparing for bed. you were by your dresser, fixing your hair to avoid any tangles while you slept.
“scaramouche?!” you gasp.
he swiftly places a hand over your mouth then counts to ten in his head to survey if anyone heard you. he lets go once he believed it was safe enough to speak.
“i need your help,” he whispers by the shell of your ear. your eyes meet his through the mirror, it trails after his hand as it traces to the end of your braid and tugs at the fabric that held it together. it didn’t take long for you to understand the gist of his request.
motioning him towards your bed, you gesture at him to stay while you grab a brush from the top of your dresser. he toys with the ends of his hair and tsks at the length… how did he fail to notice it had grown past his shoulders?
the bed dips behind him; his shoulders stiffen at the feel of your brush combing through his mane. his body unwinds when you start parting his hair into sections. he can tell the uneven cut poses as a challenge by the string of curses you whisper. warmth spreads across his chest at how domestic the moment plays out.
it didn’t feel real at all.
minutes pass and he could feel himself melt into the tender ministrations of you braiding his hair. he never knew such a mundane act can be this calming to the mind. his eyes were beginning to flutter shut until you pull away, telling him you were done.
touching your work, scaramouche was silently impressed at your efforts to tie everything together. not a strand wanders loose; and at that, you return to your dresser without a hitch. you had barely taken a seat when you hear him let out a loud cough. turning around, your brows raise to find him… with his hair down?
“can you fix it again?” in his right hand, he exposes the split ribbon hair tie.
you didn’t think twice; nodding, you search your drawers for one made from better material. scaramouche smirks at your gullible nature and waits with no complaints—a big first. there, in his other hand is the letter opener you keep by your bedside; on its blade lays specs of fabric frays. it didn’t take a genius to put two and two together and understand what he had done…
